The place was closed down. There was no one at the location. Had to find other accommodations.
This is not the 1st time Expedia let us down.
Let's see how long it takes for a refund .
When we got to Ct we were informed that the Days Inn was under constrution and they tranferred us to the Groton Inn and Suites, which didnt have a pool or the accommodations that we wanted when we booked our stay. Also at that hotel the maintenance person thought we had already checked out and therefore threw all of our belongings into trash bags and brought them to the front desk. We are missing a few things and we contacted the hotel and they said they couldnt find them. I would never stay there again.
I did not stay the night because as soon as we walked in it had a horrible smell and there was a dead roach, spider webs everywhere and a weed clip inside air conditioner. We left as fast as we came in
Dirty, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming the second you walked in the lobby. Paint was chipping off the walls, room was not like pictures shown when booking. Trash under beds and behind bureau

You get what you pay for. This property definitely needs updating especially the rooms! The dresser is old and needs painting or better yet - replaced. The bedding was old. I was afraid to sleep in the room. I wish I could upload pictures.
The room size was a plus. The room could have used a couch or a recliner. There was certainly enough space for it.
Would I stay here again? Absolutely NOT!
This place was absolutely disgusting..the non smoking room and halls reeked of cigarette and marajuana and incense. There was an open box of condoms and open condom packet in the table next to the bed, no top sheet, one crumpled towel, dirt in the corners, mold on the shower curtain and something growing in the corner of the bathroom ceiling. We were in a suite but there was no coffee etc, no dish soap, no plastic cups. I tried to pick up a dish provided and it was so greasy I had to wash my hands after touching it. The couch was stained and dirty, the furniture and walls scuffed and marked. If we hadnt been so tired and it wasnt the busy seaaon we would have been out of there so fast. It was the MOST disgusting place I have stayed in.
The pool was cloudy and the the chairs by the poolside were broken and moldy. No towels available for the pool. No breakfast, no coffee due to covid stuff. I am not sure how every other hotel is managing to have amenities for guests through the covid quaratine, but clearly days inn is special in its own way. The place should be burned to the ground.
The price was cheap and that’s exactly what you got. Paint missing from the walls all over. Lobby smelt like cigarettes. Barely anyone ever at the front desk. Mold in the bathroom, sprinkler system hanging out of the ceiling. Pool area over grown with weeds. 4/10
It was just a place to sleep.. but it was beyond dirty looks like it hasn't been vacuumed in ages..there was a sauce mark on the bedroom door, the table in the living room had stickers stuck to it, the coffee machine had no coffee no pot the mini refrigerator had Brown water in the bottom of it... luckily my boyfriend and I are very forgiving and were easy simple people that just needed a bed to sleep in for the night. The fire smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling beeping. Put it this way I slept in the bed fully clothed and walked around the hotel room with flip-flops on.
If I could give it a 0 stars I would, but there us no option for it. The moment I stepped into the room I was shocked! The room was so filthy and outdated that I was disgusting. The carpet looked like it wasn't vacuumed for a long time, the toilet paper holder was broken. Carbon divide detector was just sitting on the desk. ( did check for bed bugs, didn't see any) my favorite was that there was only one dirty towel. The bathroom floor was dirty. The walls in the room had mold on it. We had 2 rooms the second room was even worse. It had an empty whiskey bottle inside the cabinet, the TV was broken when you turn it on there was a line in the middle so you can't really see anything. Again it was filthy not vacuumed not cleaned and disgusting! The elevator was getting stuck. And when we went to the stairs case it was so dirty that the shoes were sticking to the floor on one floor there were even blood stains on the floor and on the wall. The clerk at the reception desk had nothing to say. Would I recommend this hotel?, absolutely NOT
Absolutely disgusting. Since I tried to cancel the room after seeing it and it was a second cancellation, I was not refunded my money due to “policy”. Felt very unsafe so I left immediately.
The hotel was horrible no top sheet on the bed, the pillows had brown stains, there were red stains on the shower curtain, phone not plugged into the wall, no deadbolt on the door. The tub wouldn’t drain so they gave us a plunger and after WE plunged the tub they expected us to clean it after all the literal poop came off the plunger. Thank god we were able to get another room at a different hotel same night, you’ve never seen 2 people pack up a room and run out of there so fast. Total stay 3 hours, don’t stay here just keep driving or sleep in your car it’ll be cleaner.
This was a total dump outside and inside. Looks like long-term renters live there. If Days Inn people ever went there, they would strip them of the name. It’s not up to standards of a Days Inn. Pillows were so flat we had to ask for more. Place felt germy. Plus I forgot my brand new Rx glasses there but they claim they never found them. 🙄

Very disappointing stay
I booked two rooms on hotels.com as a non-refundable stay. When I arrived, I was told one of the rooms may not be available on Sunday. I was told someone would contact me the next day about the rooms on Sunday and to complete paperwork. No-one ever did. On Sunday, both of the room keys were cancelled. When I spoke to the front desk-they were able to reset the keys and said the rooms were still available. One room had no comforter on the beds, only brown blankets. It also had some type of ? Water damage in the dresser. Bathtub floor was stained. One of my sons has multiple bug bites all over his body- these bites showed up on the day we left. My room had some water damage on the ceiling above one of the beds. Pillows were very thin, beds were hard. Housekeeping never came to clean the rooms. No towels in rooms. We had to ask and were given hand towels instead of wash cloths. Phones in rooms were missing buttons.
The room living room tv was broken, holes and blood on walls, and the staff said they were charging a $25 late check out fee at 11:35am for a 11am checkout. When asking the staff if I could review the paperwork and not finding a charge fee for a late checkout. I was told that was the case. After I had left i checked my bank account seeing a $75 additional charge. I have followed up with my bank and wait for a refund.
