Overall experience was great, no issues checking in, it would be nice to have a direct access elevator instead of having to switch elevators- I’m using a wheelchair and anyone who travels to Mexico knows that it’s already difficult when in a wheelchair with sizing of elevators,ramps and stone floors.. Wish there was a microwave in the room to reheat our food.. other than that room was great! We had hot water and complimentary beverages in the mini fridge (only the first set).

I like the location and how safe I felt. This was our second time staying. I would definitely stay here again. All stuff was very friendly from the front desk to housekeeping to everybody at the restaurant upstairs. Juan our waiter every day at breakfast was amazing, he was very attentive and great customer service.

The only negative about the hotel was that although it has a beautiful bar, the bar tender did not know how to prepare a cocktail. He did not take advise or recommendation from the paying customer. I specifically asked for a margarita that was not sweet or sugary. I was given a margarita that was syrupy and extremely sweet. I asked for a regular margarita with a small piece of pineapple and a few slices of jalapeño and I got an infused tequila that was the level of habanero. Impossible to drink. It burned the lips and throat on the first sip. I was charged for both drinks. As the bartender refused to return the first one and I ordered the second thinking he would get it right, not at all. Disappointing for sure. Hotel room was nice, clean and lines were a nice quality.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The place was *so cute and incredibly clean*—it felt welcoming the moment I walked in. The area around the hotel felt very safe, which made it easy to relax and explore without any worries. The staff were truly outstanding: super friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. It made such a difference in the overall experience. One of the highlights was the on-site restaurant. The food was delicious, and the view of the city from the dining area was simply stunning. The restaurant staff were just as friendly and attentive as the rest of the team. Está muy aesthetic el lugar y todo, pero llegando primero tuvimos que pedir que nos cambiaran de cuarto porque las sabanas de la cama estaban sucias, literal se veían unas pisadas encima del edredón blanco. Cuando fuimos a pedirlo en recepción literal tuvimos que hablar con 3 personas diferentes en recepción para que nos hicieran el cambio porque nada más nos daban largas o nos decían que no aplicaba que solo nos podían ir a cambiar las sabanas y si queríamos. En otro tema, hay un restaurante ahí mismo y en todos lados esta anunciado el horario de fin de semana hasta la 1am y el jueves no nos quisieron atender a las 10pm y el sábado que si “alcanzamos” a llegar (10:15pm) nos dijeron que teníamos 5 minutos para pedir porque ya iba a cerrar cocina. Luego llego nuestra comida y nisiquiera habiamos podido comenzar a comer cuando ya nos habían llevado la cuenta para hacer cierre antes de las 11pm y seguiamos comiendo cuando prácticamente nos apagaron todo hasta la tele para que nos fueramos. (Eran antes de las 11:15pm cuando el cierre decía 1am)

VOCO is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in GDL. The staff is phenomenal. The rooms are amazing! And overall the area it’s in (Providencia) is so conveniently located that it’s easy to catch an uber at all times of the day. I’ve stayed at hotel near the country club and with all the traffic it’s a nightmare. VOCO is down the street from the country club and prices are super fair too. Second time staying there and will definitely continue staying there. Thank you VOCO!
