PETS: As of today, we allow one house-trained and neutered pet per stay for a pet fee of $150. If you have more than one pet that wishes to join the trip, please reach out to host for details. Service animals are always welcome and do not apply to the pet policy below. Please communicate immediately with us any damage or things worth noticiting related to your pet during your stay, so our maintenance team can be prepared and get things ready for the next guests. It is what it is and we just hope to do whatever we can to minimize the impact to the next guests before they arrive. Meanwhile, we can work together to find the best solution. Most of the times, these will be covered under our insurance or platform insurance so please do not worry about that. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Pets are allowed on the premises of the vacation rental subject to the following conditions and restrictions:

1. Guests are required to disclose the presence of any pets prior to booking the vacation rental. Failure to disclose pets may result in additional charges or cancellation of the reservation.
2. A maximum of 1 pets are allowed per reservation. If you have more than one pet that wishes to join the trip, please reach out to host for details. Only domesticated pets such as dogs and cats are permitted. Guests must provide information about the breed, size, and age of their pets.
3. Guests are responsible for the behavior and well-being of their pets at all times. Pets must be under the control of their owners and kept on a leash or within a carrier when outside the vacation rental. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INJURY CAUSED TO AND BY YOUR PET.
4. Pets are not allowed on any furniture, including beds, sofas, or chairs. Guests are responsible for bringing appropriate pet bedding or crates for their pets.
5. Guests are required to clean up after their pets both inside and outside the vacation rental. Waste bags or scooping tools must be used to remove pet waste, which should be disposed off in designated trash containers.
6. Pets should not be left unattended in the vacation rental, NO MATTER if they are in a crate or confined to a specific area approved by the property owner. Excessive barking or any other disturbance caused by pets may result in eviction from the premises.
7. Guests are liable for any damages caused by their pets. Any damages, including but not limited to scratches, stains, or odors, will be assessed and charged accordingly.
8. The vacation rental owner or property management company reserves the right to deny entry or request the removal of any pet that is deemed aggressive, disruptive, or poses a threat to the safety of other guests, staff, or property.
9. An additional pet fee per pet may apply. This fee covers the cost of extra cleaning and potential damages associated with pets.

Wow! This place is awesome! Terry (host/owner) was very attentive, responsive and welcoming. The moment you walk in the door you know your in for a treat! The views are phenomenal. The beds were so comfy as well as the furnishings. The hot tub was great with the same wonderful views. Property ground were full of beautiful plants and plenty of outdoor seating. O and the message chair was a fabulous addition to relaxation. I can go on and on about this great find. We would love to stay here again sometime.

We had a wonderful family get away at this beautiful home, perched on top of a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean! Really wanted to give it 5 stars, as the host Terry was very responsive and super helpful, but home seemed to have a few maintenance issues (Keurig coffee maker dirty/ not working, pots/ lids mismatched, out of alum foil/ saran wrap, washing machine not working properly) that made it difficult at times. Otherwise it was a lovely stay.

Our host was very responsive and accommodating. When we initially had an issue with the kitchen equipment, he and his on site manager went out of their way to make it right. Outside of this one issue, the amenities were all wonderful. The beds were very comfortable as well as all of the furniture. The bathroom supplies were all plentiful. The hot tub was enjoyed by some of our family. You could not ask for a better view of the coastline.

Incredible views and convenient location just outside town. Good layout and space for both time together and privacy. Lots of flies the whole week, even with doors and windows closed. Also, a bit of clutter including fake plants and “stuff” in every drawer and cabinet. Overall we had a great stay and would consider retuning. Hosts are great.

What a beautiful home for our family getaway! The first thing you see when entering the home is The View! Wow! The view of the ocean and the coastline is amazing. We enjoyed watching at least a dozen pelicans swooping along, as well as deer in the morning. The house is clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the furnishing and decor are just right. We soaked in the hot tub as we watched the sunset and the stars coming out at night. The beach was cool and breezy while we were there, but renting kayaks from Riverbend Kayaks we discovered that the Gualala River had perfect calm weather and smooth water for kayaking - highly recommend. Also, the Pt. Arena Lighthouse is a good place to check out. Communication with the host was great. Terry sent a message after we arrived to make sure that we were happy and had everything we needed.

Calm on the Coast

What a gorgeous home! The views were magnificent and everything about the house was just perfect for a relaxing, restorative, cozy weekend at the Coast. Our communications with both Terry and Megan were warm and friendly, the house was spotless on arrival, and truly comfortable to just hang out in. If you are looking for a perfect house on the Coast, this is it.

Coastal getaway

There were a few issues that needed to be handled upon check in. We contacted the property manager and the owner, and the items were taken care of. The house was clean. The kitchen appliances were high quality; however, the pots and pans need to be upgraded as well. We made do but would have been easier with better things. This is not out of line with other VRBO properties we have rented. It is too bad more owners don't spend the money or take stock of the kitchen equipment. That being said we had a great time, and the view was great even though we had fog every day but one. Not the owner's fault. If you are going to spend time on the coast this might be the place to rent.

Amazing Home!

We had an amazing time we normally stay in Fort Bragg area which I have done my entire life and had never been south of Albion along the coast. This area was not nearly as busy even on the weekend which was great! The home is everything as advertised and then some! This was our first time brining pets and it was 100% accommodating they enjoyed themselves as well. We will be booking this home again later this year. We also seen lots of whales from the back porch heading north. We highly recommend!!!

Stunning Ocean Views Perfect for Relaxing

We loved staying at Castlerock. Obviously lets start with the views. You really can't turn around without seeing the ocean. The hot tub on the deck overlooking the ocean at sunset honestly felt like the best treat you could ever have. Sitting outside in the morning, drinking coffee with the ocean was magical. The waves are constant and lull you to sleep and keep the peace. The house is well stocked, the kitchen is super user friendly and labeled nicely. Thank you for the binoculars and telescope to try to catch whales and the clearest stars. We felt at home!

Absolutely wonderful home. If this place were a clover it would have five leaves. Everything we wanted in a NorCal coastal trip. Beautiful views, great beaches nearby, convenient local shopping, restaurants and perfect amenities at the house. The beautiful decks, ample Adirondack style chairs, and a perfectly peaceful hot tub at night looking up at a star-filled sky. There isn't really any way to get better than this unless a butler were involved. We want to go back here again and again.

Lovely place with amazing view

Loved this place. Was super clean and beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked (though spice cupboard could use a cleaning). The parking was easy and the location was very central to Gualala. But THE VIEW is the reason you stay here. It’s amazing. And the super clean hot tub on the deck watching the sunset is perfection. My only caveat that I would mention for others is that it’s not in a great walking area ( unless you want to walk to town). But all in all a gem of a home and would love to stay at again! Terry, the host, was very accommodating and communicative. It was a great vacation!

Great home and perfect location

If you are looking for a great place to get away from it all and relax this is it. The cliffside view is amazing and perfect. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to make great meals. The bidets were a nice added touch. The locals were very friendly. A great stay all around.
