BEACHBALL PROPERTIES VACATION RENTAL POLICIES:

RENTAL AGREEMENT: Tenant Vacation Rental Agreement must be electronically signed to secure your reservation. Please read carefully. This is a legally binding document.

NO SMOKING: All properties are non-smoking.

AGE RESTRICTION: Must be at least 25 years older to book a BEACHBALL PROPERTIES vacation rental. A person 25 years or older must be staying at the property for the entire duration of the booking. There will be no refunds issued for anyone booking under false pretenses.

CHECK-IN: Check-in is at 4PM. Early check-in is not possible, sorry but no exceptions.

CHECK-OUT: Check-out is at 10AM. Check out after 10AM will be charged an additional day.

MONTHLY/SNOWBIRD RENTALS: Available from November through February. Call to ask about monthly rates.

PARKING PASSES: Property is STRICTLY Only 1 (one) parking pass available for each condo ($50). Additional Parking: Premier Parking at Bahama Bobs $30. The cost of parking passes is set by each Homeowner's Association and is subject to change at any time without notice. U-hauls, trailers, boats, jet skis, buses, etc. are not allowed on property.

CANCELLATION POLICY RELAXED: Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in shall receive a 100% refund of the amount they have paid. For cancellations between 14 and 30 days before check-in, 50% of the total reservation costs shall be refunded. For cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the beginning date of the reservation, NO REFUNDS will be issued. Refunds shall not be issued for late arrivals, early departures, or inclement weather conditions including hurricanes and named storms. We do offer optional travel insurance which we highly encourage all guests to purchase.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING: Guests receive a “starter pack” of laundry detergent, dish washing detergent, one trash bag per trash can, and travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and soap per bathroom. Starter supplies are not intended to last for the duration of your stay. Linens are furnished but please bring your own beach towels.

The unit was on the side of the building. There was a beach-view, but you had to hang over the rail. The shower drain in the second bathroom was slow to drain. There was a roach in the living room.

Merry Christmas

This Vacay was a Christmas present to our children and grandchildren. We had a blast! Even with a couple of double red flag days the location was perfect for walking to other things to do. We even walked to the Hang Out. Elevator was fast and room was clean. I definitely recommend this place for cleanliness, location and I almost forgot the view from the balcony!!!

All we had a nice stay. When we arrived we found that the shower in the main bathroom would not work. But a plumber came on Tuesday and fixed it. The garbage disposal was stuck and would not work. But the plumber fixed that when I told him about it. He also found a drain clogged that the dehumidifier drained into was clogged and there was water standing under the washer and the hot water tank and the dehumidifier. He fixed that and the floor dried up. The tv in the bunk room would not work. The lamp in the bunk room has something wrong with the switch. We had a nice time other than these problems that we felt with.

Everything was good. Very convenient for a big family. Just wish it had more parking for a second vehicle. The only downside was the driving back and forth to the other vehicles just to get around with our big family. Had to pay 100 for the second vehicle elsewhere.

HangOut weekend

The property served its purpose for the girls to go to HangOut Fest. The location was perfect. However, it felt dirty and very outdated compared to other condos in the same complex. Thank goodness we brought our own utensils because the ones in the drawer were not clean. This unit has great potential!

Absolutely loved it!

Absolutely loved staying here. It technically could sleep more than 11 people if needed! Everything was described perfectly. We’ve stayed at a bunch of condos previously and this one was definitely our favorite! Only downfall is the parking passes. You only can have one and have to pay for it. Luckily they let us have 2 but only because it was off season. This has nothing to do with the owners just the actual condo itself. Other than that I would recommend this condo to anyone!

There was no dish detergent to wash the dishes there was no mop. There were no smart TVs or a Roku. There was no Alexa or no kinda speaker for music. Besides those few complaints. Everything thing else was perfect.

Unit looked hadn't been rented for awhile & had not been re-cleaned before we came, dead bugs on floor, bathtubs dirty, faucets in both tubs are about to come out of wall, hall bath tub very slow to drain, washing machine made horrible noises so only able to run during day, icemaker did not work, furniture on deck filthy, white stuff continually falling down on carpet, behind tv, on our things in bedrooms, etc. Lots of room but not anywhere near as nice as Island Winds West units we have rented over years

The room was great but the view of the ocean was not what the pictures depicted from vrbo. We had hot water heater problems while we were there. This was an inconvenience. My entire bag got wet due to water coming out on the floor flooding my closet. The elevators were broken on and off for the entire stay. The restricted parking was a huge inconvenience. But the room was exactly what we needed. Comfortable and functional. But I will probably not stay with Island Winds again.

It really does need to be freshened up. The master bed mattress is very old and lumpy. The curtains for the balcony are very stained and dingy. The garbage disposal doesn't work and the sink backs up. The ice maker never got fixed. However, loved the bunk bed combination and sleeping capacity.Loved the key code entry making checking in more efficient. Four o'clock check in is terrible, everyone we spoke to agrees. Have an earlier check out time, thus an earlier check in time. Everyone checks out early to go home anyway, this should really be looked at changing. Everyone we spoke to agrees.

Beautiful view

Spent a week here with another couple for our friends wedding. The beds were very comfortable and the view was great. I loved eating breakfast overlooking the Gulf each morning. They were kind enough to let us check in slightly early and checking in and out was a breeze. The only thing that we were unhappy with was the fact that the description says that only one parking pass can be purchased in summer, but we must have a different definition of summer. We came at the end of April and when we went to purchase our parking passes the condo office said only 1 during spring break. We had a difficult time finding public overnight parking due to a volleyball tournament in the area and there was a TON of open parking spaces in the condo lot we would have been happy to pay for. That was honestly the only thing that bent us out of shape. The condo was beautiful, would recommend in the end.

Would not recommend the unit but do recommend Beachball!

The unit was in poor condition, i.e. nearly every surface - walls, floor, even ceiling, had marks or damage. Furniture has a lot of damage as well. It is clear that this owner is putting little to no money into the unit while still charging full price. We expected dated (this was our second choice after our first booked condo was sold and dropped out of the rental pool), but we did not expect this. All that said, Beachball was very kind to us, brought some missing items promptly...picked up my call and took in my damage report in a timely fashion. They sought to make things better and escalated to their management. The one thing I will say is that they MUST get a call on this unit every week it is rented. Why agree to keep it in the rental pool without a major renovation?

Things you don’t know until you get there…

The location of this property is great and while there is an ocean view from the balcony, it is not beachfront. This unit is not managed by the building management but by a third party Beachball Properties. We had a great time BUT the complex only allows 1 vehicle per unit even though I was told 2 from Beachball Properties. So not only did we have to pay for a parking pass for the vehicle on the property after spending thousands of dollars to stay there, we also had to pay for parking at an offsite location for 2 other vehicles for the entire week. The unit is very old and needs updated/remodel but the master bedroom has a comfy bed. The other beds were uncomfortable and everyone complained about them. The hot water lasts about 5 minutes in the shower and the floors need a good cleaning. We spilled some water in the kitchen and used a towel to mop it up and the towel came up black. The dishes/utensils still had food stuck on them too. For the price we paid, I expected better. The location was great but we will not stay at this property again.

Spacious but very very run down and very musty smelling

This was a last minute property change due to the property we rented having a water leak. This property was very roomy. It has a nice view of the Gulf. The washer and dryer combo was nice and worked well. We had plenty of towels and the chairs in the living room sat nicely. But….it was extremely old and dated. We walked in to a strong musty smell, very unhealthy. It was so bad we had to buy air fresheners for the week. A lot of the outlets did not work or would not hold plugs in them. The chair legs on the balcony were rusting off on the balcony and rust was everywhere. The dishwasher did not work right. The shower head in the master bedroom bathroom moved so much I thought it was going to break out from the wall. The cabinet in the master bedroom had a huge hole in the back with broken pieces of wood that had it our clean towels sitting on it. The bathtub was rough looking but clean. The King size bed in the second better room felt like a brick when you sat on it. We were very disappointed in this property and would not stay there again or recommend anyone to stay there until LOTS of improvements are made.

Need a 15 passenger van and an N95 mask

After communicating several times with property managers that assured me I would 2 parking spots, since the condo slept 10, I arrived and had to pay for the one space they would give us on the property. We had to park the 2 other vehicles down the street and pay $10/night there. While unloading suitcases someone in our party opened the sliding glass door to patio and forgot to close it. When I entered the condo for the first time the place smelled like marijuana so bad you could hardly stay in it. Nope won’t be back to this property again. Will try not to use Beachball Properties again either.

Excellent

This is a great location right on the beach in Gulf Shores. It’s within walking distance of The Hangout and multiple gift shops. It was clean and well taken care of. The only drawback we found is that the bathrooms could use a little updating. They were fine, but the decor is a little outdated and could use a little work. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Awesome!

It was very roomy! The beds were comfortable and the location was close to many great restaurants. I would highly recommend staying at the Islands Winds!
