Welcome to SUNDOWN, a 3,250 sq. ft., 3-level Fort Morgan beach home designed for large groups. The open floor plan allows family and friends to gather, relax, and make lasting memories. Bedrooms feature a mix of king, queen, and twin beds with sleeper sofas, flat-screen TVs, and private baths where indicated. Enjoy subdivision pool access, free wireless internet, and ample space for entertaining. Summer rentals are Saturday-to-Saturday only; shorter stays may be available in fall/winter—please contact the office directly.

PET POLICY

This home is dog-friendly. Guests must notify us upon booking if bringing a dog. A pet fee applies. Limit two small dogs. No other pets allowed. The following breeds are prohibited by association by-laws: Doberman, Rottweiler, Chow, or Pit Bull.

great property small flaws

The listing says washer and dryer upstairs and downstairs which there were, but neither dryer worked and when staying with 18 people we really needed a working dryer. The AC downstairs would freeze during the day and it would get to about 80-82 degrees. It would unfreeze at night and start working again. Floors downstairs VERY sandy when we arrived. other than that, wonderful place! We hope to stay again if we can confirm both washer/dryer are working :)

Great Location, Private and Family Friendly

Overall our stay was good. The family enjoyed the spacious living and dining areas. The beach was nice and you could leave your tent during the night so you could have the same place the next day. The staff that I communicated with was very kind and helpful. We had an issue with the upstairs AC on our last day, but it cooled during the night so it wasn't unbearable. They were sending out repairmen as we left the next morning. There were a few things that just needed to be repaired (dining room chair legs loose for example...we tightened them; the wooden balconies could be repaired/replaced. A little weak in areas.) Otherwise, a good time was enjoyed!

Awesome for a large group!

The 2 refrigerators, ice maker, huge kitchen table, plenty of hot water and cold AC made this property perfect for our large group. A couple mattresses need replacement but that was the only negative we had. We made a lot of memories here!

Relaxing Getaway

Our family was so excited to have spring break at the same time this year. We picked Fort Morgan because it was lower priced than Gulf Shores or Orange Beach, and we expected to be driving 30+ minutes a few times during our stay to find things to do. Instead, the house was perfect, and we chose to just stay in and play games, sit on the balconies and be together. The house was perfect for our family of 14. We had 3 adult cousins that loved having the 3rd floor to themselves, 3 young teens that fit perfectly in the bunk room and 4 couples who enjoyed the remaining rooms. Having 2 refrigerators and an ice maker saved us extra trips to the store, and we are most of our meals in the huge table that fit us all. The area is quiet, and was unlike any other beachfront spring break locations we’ve been to. I have recommended Sunset Properties to many people already because we loved this trip so much!

Plenty of room for large group

Lots of room for large group. Wi-Fi is spotty; one of us was trying to work some one day from the house and it would come and go. The house wasn’t as clean as it souls have been - especially the floors. If you rent this property & intend to cook, you’ll need to bring everything including salt and pepper! But we did have a great time and it was nice that we could ALL sit around one big table.

Very enjoyable stay

Our family enjoyed our stay. We had children, teens,and adults in our group of 16. Nice to have plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. The extra long table was nice for our dinners. It was a walk to the beach but doable. It was nice to not have a house between us and the beach. We could sit on our deck and hear and see the ocean. The pictures in the information were accurate of the furnishings. Very bright colors. The couch in the living area could stand to be replaced, but no other negative comments to make. Kitchen had plenty of dishes and cookware. It was nice to have 2 refrigerators plus an ice maker in the coffee bar.

Spacious Condo

This home had all the space and amenities we needed. Loved the fact that all rooms having a bathroom. The white sand beaches were close by. We enjoyed playing volleyball at the beach court, taking a dip in the sea, walking along the beach while watching dolphins, cooking lovely meals at the property, playing cards as well as board games and just relaxing. We would love to return again!

Annual Gulf Shores Vacation

We wanted to be close to our family’s condo, renting the Sundown unit was perfect for size & location. Great views and tons of space! The house does need quite a few repairs and new furniture. The unit on the other side is currently under construction so maybe they’ll improve both once that begins. But for our trip it worked just fine.

Softball Tournament

Great home for a large party. We went to participate in my daughter's softball tournament. The property had everything we needed however very secluded from the rest of Gulfshores. 25 minutes drive into town. Property also had a slight mildew odor. Construction going on next door.

It was fine. Location was nice being a short walk to the beach. Plenty of space for our whole family. Could use a deep cleaning and some general maintenance but overall worked out well. Could use some updated furniture. The couch was so broken down that it was difficult to sit on. Couple of missing chairs for the table compared to the listing picture which made it difficult for our whole family to eat together. Two broken bar stools that were not safe to use. Nail heads popping through on several of the balconies made it difficult to walk on without shoes. Would have expected a little better overall upkeep for the price.

Great location and close to the beach!

Big, spacious, funky decorated beach house that was very comfortable. However, still needs many repairs. I would definitely take care of the hole in the upper balcony. We covered that with a piece of wood from the construction on the other side of the house. It was a safety issue and we Reported it to the Property Manager but no one came out. Many step boards where broken or compromised and some balcony railings where loose. Other than that and being rudely told via text "no way" when asked if we could possibly check in early----we had a great stay! Hopefully, we'll be back in the future when SunDown is available!

Nice big house.

Overall, the house met our needs for a nice weeklong get away. We had a family vacation that was 18 people. There had been a storm a week before we got there so there were some cosmetic issues (broken chair, missing siding, and a busted window panel.) We were told there was a charcoal grill, and it was not there when we arrived, I email and we received one in less than 24 hours. What I heard from the group was that the beds could have been better (and not enough pillows BRING YOUR OWN); they wish there were more outdoor furniture and there was a hole in the first level deck. Again, overall, it was nice and met our needs. We had a 1 year old and they provided a pack n play and high chair (which saved room in our vehicles.) It was not luxurious by any standards (drawers were broken and flimsy). And I was happy that each family (5) was able to get their own space and most families had their own bathrooms. The beach was a 2-minute walk. To get to the “strip,” is about a 40-minute drive so take that into account for a ‘quick’ trip to Walmart. Plan accordingly for the ferry. Most people had to wait in line for over an hour to get their car on the ferry to Dauphine island. I would come back.

It has been 45 days and we are still waiting for our security deposit...

Wonderful property with great proximity to the beach. The view from the deck is splendid. Ample space to spread out. The mattresses aren't the most comfortable and the kitchen is beginning to show its age (loose cabinet doors, one of the drawers almost fell out, etc.). The kitchen was also missing some items that we expected to be able to use, but we made it work. Two fridges wasn't something we expected, but they came in handy! However, it has been 45 days since we checked out and our security deposit has not been returned. This is extremely disappointing as I have received zero feedback/communication from the property managers.

Welcome to Sundown

We really enjoyed our stay. It was our first time staying in Fort Morgan and it was great. The pictures on the website do no do the house justice.... It is much larger and much nicer in person. There was plenty room for all 17 of us. The hike to the beach is not as far as it looks on the map. It is quite a distance from major grocery stores, but we had groceries delivered and that worked out great. Also, the local stores had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend it and hope to stay here again!

Great place for family holidays!

Great place to stay for family. Clean and convenient. Just across to the beach you can enjoy time with family and relaxing. The entrance has security therefore there would be no issue for your safety. There's a bit disadvantage that the house quite far from Gulf Shores downtown about 30 mins drive (20 miles) and the Wifi internet also slow as well especially if you're familiar with enjoying high speed data. Furthermore, T-Mobile did not work at this area, sometimes in and out. But that's not a big deal when you're going for holidays. Overall could be five star rating.

Great for families.

This house was the perfect size for a big family trip. The furniture is a little dated and it had a bit of a musty smell but febreeze fixed that. Also got a new washer installed while we where there so that was a plus. All in all it was a great place and I'd stay there again and recommend it.

Best Beach Vacay Ever!!!

House was awesome...plenty of room and had everything we needed. Hope this is first annual family vacay at the beach...loved the privacy of the beach and being able to have fur baby with us. Thanks for making this possible at the last minute!

Very nice, out of the way location for our large baseball group.

Several of our baseball parents and players rented houses on the same little street. It was very convenient having everyone close. Location is about 25 minutes away from Gulf Shores. Very quiet beach! The house was very spacious and we had plenty of room with 6 families! The only complaint I had was the beds were pretty uncomfortable and many of the tv’s were old style dated tv’s. The tv in my bedroom had no sound. But it was a great place to stay!
