Southern Charm: 4 Bedroom / Sleeps 8

A bright single story pool home located in the popular gated golfing community of Southern Dunes.

This villa style is very popular with guests due to its spacious floor plan, particularly having two different living areas. The living room at the front of the house is comfortable and a great place to sit and relax. It also incorporates the dining area.

The kitchen is open plan and fully equipped. It looks onto the breakfast area and family room so the chefs in the kitchen can join in the fun! The family room has comfortable sofas to sit back and relax on while watching the flat screen tv or the kids having fun in the pool.

The master bedroom at the rear of the home has a king-size bed plus large closet and an ensuite bathroom featuring seperate bath tub and walk-in shower. There are two further queen bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom. The other shares a bathroom with the twin bedroom.

Relax on the deck or swim in the private pool. The pool has optional heating and which can be activated at an extra cost.
BBQ rental available: 3 burner $89 per week / 4 burner $99 per week incl tank of propane (needs to be ordered 7+ days in advance - BBQs not stored at the home)

Challenge each other to foosball with the table provided in the garage. There is also a washer and dryer, plus high speed internet.

Southern Dunes is home to one of the best golf courses in Florida. Southern Dunes 18 hole golf course open to the public year round. Even if you are not a golfer you will quickly appreciate the beauty of this exceptionally maintained community. The golf course also has an excellent clubhouse restaurant which is open throughout the day for lunches and on Sunday has a very good brunch.

Southern Dunes is located just off Hwy 27 in Haines City and is conveniently situated close to a large Walmart Supercenter. There is a wide selection of restaurants and takeaways close by. Just six miles away is the new Posner Park shopping area with JC Penney, Target, Best Buy, Staples, Michaels, Dicks Sporting Goods and many more. Southern Dunes is located around 20 minutes to the Disney World parks and is the closest of all communities to the new Legoland Park which is a short 25 minute drive to the south.

This house is great the living room and family room provided us with space to work and socialize.

Overall this was a nice experience. My elderly parents had never had a vacation home experience before. They were very comfortable and enjoyed the house.

This property was in a great location for the race. The house was clean and neat. Be sure to bring all of the spices you need for cooking along with garbage bags, sponges and soap. I would definitely stay there again.

Spacious but needs TLC

Lots of room, comfortable beds and furniture and the pool was nice and warm. There were lots of little things that needed fixing and the pool and area need some scrubbing and TLC. Overall good stay, but not the 5 star exceptional rating that it was given.

Great Place to Stay

The home is in a gated community which was nice and was close to food and a Walmart. The pool was a great addition for my children who loved swimming in it. Everything seemed neat and tidy. Bed linens and towels were ready for us. Only negative, which was not a big deal was property maintenance was still on site when we arrived at 4. He was fixing some issues from previous tenant I believe which helped prevent us from having any issues. Overall a great stay and would recommend for anyone coming to the area.

Great Property with a few suggestions.

All in all the house was great as was the pool area. However there should be directions on how to use the tv. There was only one dish towel in the kitchen. There were only a few spoons available; was washing them constantly. And directions on what to do with linens upon checking out.

I had the pleasure of staying at this location for 4 days. I can't say enough about how good the communication was with Kristy by phone and Richard by text on the VRBO app. I travel often and have used VRBO rentals frequently. If you are going to the Haines City/Davenport area this place is great. I loved the Walmart just outside the community. My family and I took the kids to Legoland which was a quick 30 minute drive. We also went to Disney which was also a quick 30 minute drive. I really enjoyed how clean the house was. We cooked the first day and everything was available. Two small things I did notice were that 1 of the bathrooms did not have toilet paper and we had to go buy and after using the towels for the first time we all felt really itchy so we had to go get detergent and wash them. Afterwards they were fine. These are small details that shouldn't go overlooked but it's not enough to steer me from giving anything less than 5 stars across the board. I will be renting here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good place to stay.

disapointed with management

I have stayed in Southern Dunes many times and each time it was pleasant and clean . I am very dissappointed this time . the people that manage this property are doing a very poor job . The pictures are decieving. The house is not clean.I found an underwear under the bed . The carpet needed vacuumed.I tried using their vacuum cleaners, but both did not suck up anything. Perhaps it was because they were so full of dirt and hair. I had to entertain my guest in a living room that quite frankly made me embarrassed how dirty it looked. Another thing that made me very upset, this management has the odasity to think it is ok for guests to use a blanket that had not one but 4 holes big enough that I could fit my fist through each hole.I took a piicture of it if you want proof.I think the owner should seriously consider new management . If he chooses not to,my suggestion , remove this home from your listing

The house was well maintained, clean and inviting.

It was easy to check-in. The property management center as responsive to my needs quickly and efficiently. We had a great experience. The heated pool was fantastic after being at Legoland and the aquarium. Great visit. Short of fixing the cold, rainy weather the visit was everything we needed.

Overall the house was great. Our only criticism was the internet and cable were not working and I had to have to host and cable technician come during the stay. This was a downer as we all just wanted to relax when we were there and without tv and internet….

Spring Break 2021

We had a great time. Check in was easy through Vrbo messenger. Communication with property management was great as well. The informational binder was helpful. The house matched the photos and was a great location for our quick spring break trip to Legoland! Would definitely book it again.

Nice home and vacation in Haines City.

This property was very clean and located close to many restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, etc. The property is located in Southern Dunes, a gated community which is a beautiful area with well manicured yards. The pool was too cool for us, but we had the opportunity to heat it.
