November get-away to Halifax

Posted 1-Dec-2017
Pros: Clean, comfortable, convenient, friendly
Location: Steps from waterfront, boardwalk, Pier 21 and Museum of Immigration, Maritime Museum, Nova Scotia Art Gallery, pubs on Argyle St,short walk to Citadel
Stayed a week at the Four Points by Sheraton Halifax. Convenient, comfortable, quiet. The Niche Lounge on 2nd floor gets lively on weekends due to extended happy hour and half-price on selected appetizers. Hotel staff were very accommodating - readily provided a microwave, extra bottled water, coffee packets, face cleansers to make our extended stay comfortable. Front Desk staff also provided great tips and directions for good spots to eat and visit, etc.

Not Clean

Posted 16-Oct-2017 on Expedia
Pros: Location
Cons: Clean the room and stop lying to customer
I've reserved three rooms for a wedding night. Rooms 4017,4019,4023. When we got into room 4017 we noticed empty beer bottle under the bed, dirty sock by the chair and the beds (two double bed) seem not to be made properly. Before going to the wedding around 6:00 pm we address the reception and explain the situation. The reception mentionne that the housekeeping was gone. We request to clean the room and to change the bedding sheets. On our arrival around 1:00 am. We notices the dirty sock was still there, the bedding sheets were not replaced since we had install the pillow one way and the were exactly the same place. We call the front desk and they were arguing this was done. We slept in the room anyway (with our cloth on) and in the morning we also discover bottle caps on the floor. Beside laying to us they personnel a 6:00 pm were rude and the personnels have lie to us. I expect full credit for this room. This is just not acceptable for a hotel and specialty the price they charge!

Satisfactory hotel with great location

Posted 12-Oct-2017 on Expedia
Pros: The location was excellent and gave easy access to all the major sites.
Cons: The room was a little shabby. Making sure sundries, such as toilet paper, are available when new guests arrive would be greatly appreciated.
Location: The location is this hotel's greatest asset. All the must-sees of Halifax, from Pier 21 to the Citadel, are in easy walking range.
Noise was a major concern during our stay at the hotel. This includes noise from the street and from other guests. Though we found the hotel room a little worn, the location, just off the waterfront, was excellent.

In the heart of the action

Posted 11-Oct-2017 on Expedia
Easy to walk to good and great restaurants in the old part of the city and waterfront. Walked around day and night with no issues. The farmers market is a really nice spot to visit.

Awesome front desk staff

Posted 3-Oct-2017 on Expedia
Ian's and Danielle understood that we did not come all the way from Colorado to look at a parking garage. We worked together and they got us in a great harbor view room the 2nd day. Worth the move (but not very green). They were full of suggestions. Merci!!!

Good location.

Posted 28-Sep-2017 on Expedia
Pros: Location.
Cons: Should dedicate a floor for guest that bring pets. Parking use the intercom to enter and exit. if front desk is busy, it takes awhile to open.
Location is good nearby waterfront, behind Marriott Courtyard. Parking available for a fee, not hourly but per day, you can go in and out as you wish. Great room size. It is pet friendly so it is a bit noisy because one of the room has a dog and the dog keep barking. They should dedicate one level for guest that bring pets.
