Picked this hotel particularly for the pool and slide. My kids (7 and 9) couldn’t even use it as the water was too hot. There was a broken part but we were not made aware of this until we went to use the pool. If I had known I would have chosen somewhere else to stay.

Very disappointing experience Unfortunately, during our stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Halifax – Bedford (980 Parkland Dr), a member of our family found a mouse inside our room. This was extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable. What makes this even more concerning is that, after this incident I did read reviews mentioning the same issue. For example, one guest reported they “found a rat in the room” and rated their stay as “2/10 Terrible.” This suggests our case was not an isolated incident. While the hotel has positive aspects (location, amenities, and staff service), it urgently needs to address pest control in order to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all guests. We strongly recommend that management take immediate corrective actions, and we advise future guests to verify that the issue has been resolved before

This hotel is excellent, From the time we checked in to the time we checked out. The guy and the beautiful lady ( that was training for a few hours that day) at the front desk ,that i didnt get their names were very courteous and friendly. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was awesome. Would definitely go back

Comfortable, clean, friendly staff. Nice selection of breakfast items. Would suggest a few more tables for two in the additional dining room. We would like to have experienced more consistency with the towels. On arrival our towels were thick and soft but each day of our several night stay this initial quality was not maintained. We did enjoy the use of the pool but found the room to be very hot.

The cleanliness of the property is great and is located in a convenient area with parks, stores, and restaurants nearby. Customer service was at times below average and at moments very poor. There were a couple of instances where we were questioned by staff for asking for extra towels or an extra blanket. Staff were reluctant to bring it and explained to us that we already have it in our room or that they had no extra blankets to give out. We were only given towels for 2-3 guests when we stated and paid for 4 guests, this did not seem to be relayed to house cleaning services and was a constant need for request on our 4 night stay- at times just dealing with limited towels. Next, staff members and a manager were seen being confrontational with another guest at the breakfast buffet, accusing them of going up too many times and telling them “they’ve had enough to eat”. I was very disappointed to see such distasteful customer service at this establishment. Many nearby guests were uncomfortable with the customer service displayed. The buffet was also not able to keep up with the capacity of guests and was constantly running out of hot food items at the same time (bacon, sausage, eggs). Lastly, the gym facilities could be improved as it has poor ventilation and stale odours.

This hotel provided a wonderful stay. They were even able to accomodate an early check in for us. The location is good as well, as there are several restaurants/stores just around the corner (in walking distance). It also has good highway access. The breakfast spread was quite good too. Overall, an excellent stay - thank you!

The beds were old and snuck in, pillows were awful, we could barely sleep. Our sheets were not clean when we arrived and we continued to need to ask for towels to be replaced. The ladies that worked the breakfast were excellent. Kids were running around all night and was woken up nightly by screaming kids. Waste of money to stay there.

The key to our door didn’t work the whole time we were there. We had to ask to be let into our room. They tried to fix it but they were unsuccessful. Since I booked through Expedia I couldn’t ask for a discount for our inconvenience. Breakfast was just ok.

In general it is very good and the only reason it gets a four star is that the blind is deformed and it is out of railing that it doesn't close fully. Light comes in from the gaps in the morning wakes me up before my schedule.

Food Options (Breakfast): The breakfast was acceptable but not perfect. While it provided some basic options, it lacked variety and quality could be improved. Bed Comfort: The bed was comfortable, providing good rest throughout the stay. This was one of the better aspects of the accommodation. Internet Access: The internet access was poor. Connection was unreliable and very slow, making it difficult to perform even basic tasks online. Transport Access: Transportation access was unsatisfactory. It was either not conveniently located or lacked easy options for getting around the area.
