“Lanakila” – Unit 203 – is an upper floor 1-bedroom, 1-bath unit located in Hana Kai Maui’s Mauka (upper) building. This unit has an open kitchen featuring a koa bar and koa accents, hardwood floors, stainless appliances, granite countertops, granite tiled tub/shower combination, tropical furnishings and decor. A shoji window from the living room to the bedroom allows the trade winds to cool the unit throughout and the sight and sound of the ocean can be seen and heard from your bed! There is a spacious covered lanai with a wonderful view of the Bay and a 2nd covered lanai off the bedroom.

Welcome to paradise

We enjoyed our short one night stay. It had everything we needed. Walking distance to the beach and a short drive to Waianapenapa State Park. The instructions to pick keys up after office hours were clear and easy to follow. Only thing that made us feel awkward was a secret hideout above the living/bedroom. It had access to a door but there was no ladder, my kids felt uneasy as if someone could be hiding up there. Had them take the bedroom and asleep.

Overnight stay in Haha

We stayed overnight in Hana while exploring the Road to Hana. We were able to stay at the black sand beach late, eat at Hana Ranch Restaurant, and get up early to do the Pipiwai Trail and beaches after Hana before reversing our route back to West Maui. This unit has a beautiful view of the harbor and served its purpose well. The mattress was good. The decor is dated but we were only there for a few hours to sleep. I appreciate this property allowing one night stays.

Very nice condo and location
