Nice pub and hotel stay

Really nice stay. Spacious room and bed. Bathroom needed a bit of cleaning attention but nothing too bad. Friendly staff and good restaurant and bar. Yummy food!

Disappointing stay

I have stayed here a few times, but had a couple of issues this time. First off my room didn't have a fan and the windows hardly open so are a waste of time, even though my colleague had a fan in his room and I had a fan last stay. The receptionist did get me a fan the following morning but surely these should already be in every room! Also asked for my invoice on day before checkout but apparently couldn't get it, so then i was told it would be printed for following morning but the night porter couldn't find this and apparently cant print invoices so still waiting following various messages, etc! Food nice and staff are pleasant.

Overall pretty good

Very pleasant welcome upon arrival. My room was spacious and well appointed including a fan which proved essential as the evening was extremely warm. The bathroom looked nice but I was disappointed that the main shower-head barely worked and obviously needed to be descaled. The water didn't taste particularly nice and bottled water in the room. Breakfast was busy and fairly good but let down by very anaemic sausages that only appeared to be just cooked. Again, pleasant staff.

Nice room with good supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and a chocolate each which was nice. Lovely decor, just a little bit of maintenance needed as tap in bath moved. When using and a bit of enamel missing on bath, but all in all, a comfortable stay with a generous breakfast in the morning. Friendly welcoming staff.
