We were very impressed with the home. Beautiful view of the lake, wonderful dock, fully stocked kitchen, loved the decks, very clean and organized. We highly recommend this place!
Our family of 4 stayed for 5 days. The house was perfect. Beautiful views. Tons of toys and games for the kids to play with and the hosts were awesome. We had such a great time.
It is a beautiful home, with a stunning view of the lake. The house was well supplied from soaps to kitchen supplies to things to use in the lake. The owners were very helpful as well.
Beautiful location! What a gorgeous view! Very welcoming home and well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the outdoor patio each morning. We will rent this lovely home again! Thank you
Suanne is an awesome host. The house was clean. The path to the lake is well maintained. Suanne was very quick to reply to all my messages. Would highly recommend staying here.
Dream vacation home in Harrison, Idaho on the Lake
We had a phenomenal stay at Coeur D'Alene Lake in breath taking Carlin Bay.
Suanne and Mark have a beautiful home that is modern and clean with views of the lake from every room in the house.
Solid internet access.
Communicating with them was easy and they provided us with great ideas on places to visit and explore.
Their access to the lake below and their personal dock made going for a swim, kayaking, or just relaxing in the sun a pure joy.
The house is situated close to Coeur D'Alene and the quaint town of Harrison.
This home is a true taste of lake living and we had a fantastic stay.
I would recommend this property to anyone looking to enjoy and relax on Coeur D'Alene Lake.
We will we be back!
We had a great time. The house is well stocked and comfortable. Some of the steps to the dock donât have a handrail. It is steep and quite a climb but it does make for a gorgeous view.
We were returning to Carlin Bay for a family reunion. Having grown up there we were excited to have time on the lake again. Point Harnes and the hosts, Suanne and Mark, made us feel as if we had come home. A welcoming lakefront home for a perfect weekend! Thank you!
We had family staying just a half mile north, so this home offered us a great place to come to get some rest or some work done.
Nice, clean beds and home. Very well stocked kitchen and a lot of games to pass the time away.
Would love to come back again.
great location great lakeside position but overall disappointing
great location in lakeside position with excellent waterfront and "toys".
Somewhat spoilt as on our last afternoon owners and their family took over the dock area meaning we felt we couldn't access the canoes paddleboards etc, taking the edge off our enjoyment on our last day. Grandkids were especially looking forward to fishing but could not because of the owners young grandkids were in the fishing area,
Checkout processes were demanding - beds to be stripped, washer to be filled and dishwasher filled and started, and departure by 10:00am. We also had to take trash to the dumpster "up the road" (3 mile round trip) only to find somebody had locked it.
Did not meet current UK advertising campaign about property privacy.
In addition be aware that shopping for provisions requires round trip to Coeur d'Alene, facilities in Harrison extremely limited.
Overall the place was amazing.
Sleeping accommodation bed sizes were not ideal for adults. But there were plenty of blankets and pillows.
Lake toys and shaded area on the dock was fantastic! Kitchen was well equipped with seating for the whole family.
Host was on site and very accommodating to any adjustments that needed to be made during our stay.
We love the area and will be back next year!
My family really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views, amazing waterfront. Really appreciated all the books, games and water toys at the dock. Thank you for sharing your place with us.
Pretty much all one could ask for in a lakefront property. Well built home. All three bedrooms upstairs. Air conditioning for the upstairs was entirely adequate on our 90+ degree weekend. Well stocked kitchen. The house was built on a hill so the hike to the dock was not trivial. On line pics show this well. My wife and I incorporated the hill into our CrossFit style WOD one day. Kids enjoyed the paddle board and floaties. I am partial to sunsets and this property did not disappoint.
Things to consider
1) this was our first time on this lake. The house is on highway 97 which is a windy narrow two lane road along the east side of the lake. If I were the owner I would include some pictures of the driveway.
2) if you have a boat of any size, do not attempt to park in the driveway. We have an Axis T22 surf boat and there is zero chance I could have driven in or backed in with the boat.
3) there is a marina at Carlin bay two miles to the south. Sketchy boat launch (one must pull across 97 before trying to back in. Pray for no trucks at this point of your life.
4) the food truck at the boat launch (Latitudes) is good. I spoke with the operations manager,David, who owns/manages the property to the NE of the boat launch. He has a bunch of trailers parked there. I offered to pay him to park my trailer for three nights and he said no charge, but please come and check out the food truck. So we did. There is a beautiful covered dock side dining area at the marina.
4) other than the he parking (which is surmountable), my only serious negative vibe is that the owners occupy the walkout basement of the three level house. They were only there one night and I did not see them but it was unexpected. Perhaps it said it in the listing, but I missed it.
All said, may wife and kids and I were very pleased. If available, we will definitely consider for a multi day stay summer 2023.
My family Really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, the location was amazing and the boat dock worked out really well with our boat rental.
The owner of the house does live below where you stay but they kept to themselves and were extremely kind.
We would stay there again!
