I had a wonderful experience during my stay. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and truly inviting. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. What really stood out was the service; every staff member was warm, attentive, and dedicated to making sure I had everything I needed. Overall, a great place to stay, dine, and relax. It was a wonderful place for a wedding. It was all very well planned out. (Wedding and Reception) I little difficult for wheelchairs. Although they did have a ramp for wedding and reception. No elevators.

The owners and staff at the Vandiver were very very friendly and accommodating. The Inn is beautiful with a picturesque front porch and an amazing backyard for events that includes 2 amazing gas firepits. The breakfasts were made to order and our room ( O' Neil) was gorgeous with a working fieplace and private bath. Located in historic area and close to shopping, sightseeing, and restaurants. Highly recommended.

We think we like it!

Clean old-fashioned, from the room, the greeting hour, bed comfort and quiet. Included breakfast superb. Second-floor access tricky if you’re in your 80s. All greeters, wait staff, hosts also superb. Finally, it’s just a 1/2 mile from a four-star ($$) restaurant…guess what? Superb.

A Refreshing Stopover

This is our third time staying at the Vandiver Inn. We discovered it on a trip and used it as a stopover to break up a long drive, and it has become one of our favorite stops. The staff is pleasant and helpful, and the rooms are spacious. Guests are welcomed with a glass of wine in the evening. The included breakfast is delicious and made to order. We will definitely return!

Breakfast was fantastic! They have made to order options and to go. Very clean! The staff was so kind and accommodating. We stayed there for an on site wedding, and it was gorgeous! Very nice walkable area. Cute shops nearby and a short walk to the waterfront.
