The most beautiful location with beautiful views of the lake. Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner available with limited hours for purchase. Nice playground for small children. Tennis court, basketball court and indoor gym available for use. Highly recommend. Just be careful because the AC unit is high on the wall and will leak onto the ground and soak your belongings if you leave them on the floor!

The property caters more as a Christian retreat for groups. I stayed for one night while on a business trip and was a bit surprised since there were no indicators in the description, but it was not a deal breaker since they state they are open to everyone in their website. Pros: beautiful surroundings, great breakfast and plenty of parking space. Cons: was not informed of the one night stay fee and dinner schedule when checking in (I missed dinner), room smelled and was dirty with mold in the shower (handicapped chair in the shower was not spared), walls are paper thin, floors were sticky and there were holes on the wall from the a/c installation. The inn clearly has potential, but it needs some work.

My best friend and I picked this place spur of the moment while we were driving. The grounds are beautiful and it's very quiet. No microwave or TV in your room which was disappointing. Meals were not a guarantee on site due to them not being super busy of full. Breakfast is nice but its only until 9am. We also picked this place because it was the closest to Pretty Place Chapel, which is still about a 30 minute drive. Staff was really nice! Very helpful, too. Overall, we were happy with our stay. There was a large shower in our room, no bathtub. Good place for getting some peace and quiet at a beautiful place.

It was just ok

When we arrived the check in clerk said there was an issue with our payment, that it was coming up declined, even tho we had paid in full when making the reservation. She said I'd need to speak with a manager in the morning. So I spent out first night worried about payment issues. Management did confirm in the morning there was no issue. I ordered a balcony room with a tub and king size bed. My receipt says balcony king size room. We didn't get a balcony or a tub. We was put in a king bed handicap accessible room. We was told it was because hotels requested a balcony room if avaliable in the notes, even tho my receipt specified it was supposed to be a balcony room! The check in clerk tried to find us a balcony room, but was unsuccessful. I was also looking forward to soaking in the tub, but we only had a shower. The lake can only be used for swimming or boating if a lifeguard is on duty. Which was only for a few hours a day. The included breakfast had great potential, but the eggs were slimy, the bacon was burnt and the toast was rock hard. The a/c in the room seemed to struggle to cool the room, once it finally got cooled off in the room on the second day it stayed cooled off. There is no TV in the room! Hotels says there is TV on their listing and this is incorrect. None of the inn rooms have TV. The mirror is put bathroom was flaking paint, there was water stains on the desk, many of the benches were covered in moss and mold. Overall it was not worth the price!

Retreat Setting

Beautiful surroundings in a large retreat center. Hotel rooms don't necessarily resemble the ones in the photos. We asked to be moved and they were able to accommodate us, but don't expect views of the lake from your balcony. Great hiking trails (although it is nearly impossible to find a trail head!). Really good full breakfast.
