Also access to a Spa deck (with Hot Tub & Sauna), Lake for boating & swimming, Treehouse and to top it all off...a unique party space!

The space
Staying here is like having your own private wildlife park to enjoy for the duration of your stay with wandering peacocks, ducks, geese, the occasional swan, pheasant and even resident kingfisher.
Nature is all around you.

There is so much relaxed enjoyment perfect for kicking back and relaxing with your friends and we specialise in providing the perfect environment for hen parties and birthday parties.

Think reclining in a hammock, enjoying a swinging seat, boating on the lake (you’re also welcome to fish on the lake if you have your own rod), having a game of giant chess on the Spa deck, enjoying a picnic in the treehouse, roasting marshmallows around a firebowl or having a game of ping pong.
There are also numerous glorious footpath walks around the area if you wanted to venture out and explore too.

For larger gatherings over 16 guests there are additional rooms, sofa beds and spaces to accommodate up to 25 - 27 guests, and during the summer to 45 in bell tents, with the additional guests above the 16 the listing accommodates charged at 100 per person per night.

You can also bring in up to 100 day guests to come and enjoy the space, up to 11.30pm for 25 each.

Connecting the two main outdoor spaces is a large, entertainment courtyard with 2 large dining tables to seat 24 people, an outdoor music system, a bbq, pizza oven (we can also supply the dough, sauce, cheese and even a chef to cook the pizzas!), seating area with firebowl (logs can be provided for an extra cost) and ping pong table.
This area makes for a fantastic gathering area and is lit beautifully at night.

The Spa deck boasts a 10 person Hot Tub (100 to add for the duration of your stay) and 6 person Sauna (40 to add for the duration of your stay) which also doubles up as a scenic viewing spot which you have sole access to during your stay.

There is super-fast Satellite broadband for those guests who need to keep connected.

If your group would like to enjoy the space earlier than the 4pm check-in and stay longer than 11am check-out, you can either add additional hours for 175 per hour, or 1.5 day stays are possible to arrange between October and the end of March or mid-week in the summer with check-in at 9am and check-out at midday at a cost of 50% of the full day price.

The space around Wonderland takes you away from the city and into the idyllic countryside, even though Henfield is a 20 minute walk away. The gardens are simply stunning and perfect for quiet enjoyment... and the entertaining courtyard is an ideal hanging out spot.

However the cherry on the cake at Wonderland is the unique party tent with bar, dance floor, music system, lounge seating and table football. This area really does need be seen to be believed!

And when it's time to rest the accommodation is just as unique. The Sussex Barn (4 bedrooms, sleeps 7) and colourful Wendy House (not so tiny! sleeps 4-6) The unique Shepherds Hut has it's own bathroom Hut and outdoor area and our Arts and Crafts Showman's Wagon which sleeps 4 people and is the latest in the decor collection of unique spaces at Wonderland!

We have connections to some excellent private chef's and local caterers as well as massage, pamper and well-being services to relax and enjoy during your visit.

Regretably we do not host stags parties/ batchelor parties but do host well behaved Hen Parties.

The land:
Wonderland is accessed by a long private drive (be aware it's a farm track, so the surface is bumpy), with 360 degree views to open farmland and across the South Downs. With only farm animals and birds to see for miles, experience a rare treat… absolute peace and quiet!

The lake is at the heart of the land and hosts several types of duck, moor-hen, geese, cormorants, kingfishers and even the odd swan – it’s a haven for nature spotting from the deck and the surrounding wetlands are an ornithologist’s paradise!
Also on the Farmstead are peacocks, chickens, ducks and our very friendly grey cat called Bramble, who is likely to come and make friends with you!

There’s something for everyone... spend an afternoon on the lake, swimming or canoeing or have a go at making it over the stepping stones and seesaw, hang out on the mini island or enjoy the Spa deck with Sauna, Hot Tub or pontoon seating area.
For those who enjoy fishing, feel free to bring your rod and nets, as the lake has a healthy population of fish (you just need to put them back afterwards).

The double-decker tree-house makes a perfect viewing platform over the water and across the South Downs.

And if you are interested in activities we can put you in touch with all sorts of entertainment, including:

The village of Henfield is a 15 minute walk away, and South Downs Way is an ideal cycle track (and only a 5 minute walk away), taking you towards Partridge Green in one direction, or Steyning in the other and onto Brighton if you fancy a hike.

There are four main pubs within walking distance. The Old Railway - which has a beer garden and food is a 5 minute walk. The White Hart (old fashioned, local, beamed pub on the high street full of locals!), The George (Sports bar style) and The Plough (very good food but decor not amazing).

Guest access
You are welcome to walk around the scenic fields/ garden, use the tree-house and lake.
Boats and wild swimming in the lake is permitted at your own risk.
Barns, yard and other areas outside the main lawn, lake and courtyard are working areas and for safety, out of bounds.

This listing is for 16 guests but with the addition of an extra bedroom downstairs in the Lake House, a Gypsy Wagon and Bubble Dome, extra guests up to 29 in total are possible.
Extra guests are 100 per person per night over the 16 included in the listing.

Day guests are possible by prior agreement for 25 per person anytime from 12pm to 11.30pm.

If your group would like to enjoy the space earlier than the 4pm check-in and stay longer than 11am check-out then 1.5 day stays are possible to arrange between October and March or mid-week in high season.

We have links to local caterers who can cook for you, local therapists , and a good network of other interesting things, so if there is anything you wanted to organise - please do get in touch.

The Hot Tub is located on the Spa Deck and can be used for the whole weekend. It requires a 100 set up cost and we show you after that how to re-start it for the time that you need it to be used at (bear in mind it is wood fired, so there may be a little wait for the perfect temperature!). The Sauna is DIY (although we are happy to heat it for you if needed) and wood is provided to top it up during your stay and is 40 to use.
If you need help with fires during your stay, feel free to ask and we will assist.
There is a firebowl in the courtyard that we have bags of logs for 15 to use with.
And the use of the pizza oven is 30, with dough and sauce and cheese for 7 per pizzza.

With a working farm surrounding Wonderland, there may be tractors and other activity to be seen and our children and the staff that help maintain and live onsite may also be visible at times on the property.

We can host respectful hen parties (no strippers etc). Unfortunately we cannot host stag parties.

Please bring your own bath towels. Hand towels in the bathrooms and tea towels will be provided.
