Locarno Cottage at Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve

Locarno is a spacious one-bedroom cottage with stunning views over the surrounding forests of Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve. Situated in the most desirable part of Hepburn Springs, the cottage provides a relaxing and peaceful getaway. The kitchen contains all the essentials if you want to prepare your own meals, but the Daylesford/Hepburn Springs area has a well-deserved reputation for outstanding cafes and restaurants.

The cottage has two split-system air conditioning units and a woodburning heater with complimentary firewood supplied for your first two evenings in the cottage. There is free WiFi and the large smart TV has the Netflix and Stan streaming services included.

The landscaped gardens offer a choice of four outdoor seating areas: the north-facing front garden has a deck just off the bedroom as well as a bench seat at the far end; the rear deck has a gas barbecue, dining table and large cantilever umbrella; and the lower deck on the west side is perfect for enjoying the sunset while seated around the chiminea.

The Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa complex in the neighbouring Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve is a short walk down the road and offers a range of hot mineral water bathing and pampering spa treatments. There are also very many day spas within walking distance in Hepburn Springs village or a short drive to the neighbouring town of Daylesford.

Pets are very welcome at Locarno Cottage, including inside the cottage. We ask that dogs do not go on the sofa or bed; if you don't think you'll be able to prevent that, please bring along your own throws/blankets to protect our furnishings. The secure garden has fencing and gates that are at least 97 cm high.

Fabulous location for long weekend away

Loved the property and the overall hospitality. Great spot to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet on the balcony or head into town to make the most of some of the local attractions. Safe and well fenced for my dog as well which was fabulous. One to come back and visit again.

Lovely little relaxing spot

We absolutely loved staying here with our pup to celebrate our honeymoon. The house was wonderful; we were left some thoughtful goodies, the yard was immaculate and spacious. Super easy to find and the check in process was a breeze. Communication was also amazing. We will definitely stay here again!

Cosy home with fantastic outdoor spaces

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property, with our two dogs. Great outdoor spaces, and good location not too far away from restaurants and springs. Very clean property, with plenty of inclusions. Would recommend!

Lovely Locarno

We very much enjoyed our short stay (3 nights) at the Locarno cottage. The furnishings were very modern and stylish. We loved the outdoor area to relax and unwind. It was pet friendly which was amazing, and the outside area is very secure! The cottage is very private and in an awesome location. Anthony the property manager was very quick to respond, and went above and beyond for a query we had. Overall, we loved our stay and highly recommend this beautiful accommodation in lovely Daylesford.

Great stay

The property is surprisingly spacious and very clean. The bathroom is amazing with a large jet tub and waterfall shower. The outdoor space is much larger than the pictures and was great for our dog. The yard was completely enclosed and safe. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need, even a few surprises like chocolates and wine in the fridge. Location is also great- right amongst the trees with a brewery across the street and spas and walks nearby. We would highly recommend this property!

Beautiful cottage in a hidden sanctuary

We came to this property for a little romantic getaway and we were pleasantly surprised. A hidden gem, close to beautiful mineral spas and a boutique brewery. Numerous outdoor seating areas and beautiful finishing touches. A big spa bath is the perfect way to unwind, all you need is yourself and some wine! Thank you Anthony and Andrew!

A lovely and relaxing place to stay

Nice property that is well decked out, with fully enclosed fences so that the dog could happily roam around safely. So nice that we'll stay longer next time!
