The apartment was new, clean and comfortable. We were able to order breakfast, lunch for delivery by a cafe used by City lion which was convenient. It's easy to walk to surrounding areas, shops, restaurants. We arrived at night and there is no parking near the building. Team member Chrissa was very helpful and lovely. She went with me to a car park a few minutes from the building and even went back with me a second time after I realised I had left my phone in the carpark.

Unfortunately, we only stayed one night. The staff member we dealt with (Chryssa??) was amazing and went above and beyond for us. She turned what could have been a negative experience in Heraklion mostly positive. Assisted us with a horrible vehicle rental return and got a a dinner reservation at a great restaurant. Arranged a taxi for the morning. Accommodations were great. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful modern apartments
Really beautiful, modern apartments and the staff were really great. Plus it had a really helpful app. The closest parking lot isn’t far, but you do have to wind through some cobbled streets, so just be prepared if you have luggage. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back!

Great hotel in a perfect location!
I travelled with a friend and our accommodations were very clean and comfortable and located just a very short walk to the centre of restaurants and shopping. It was very safe to walk around the area. We parked our car in a garage about a 10 min walk away and had absolutely no issues with parking. The managers of the hotel are very kind and accommodating people and we would definitely choose this hotel again!

My family's experience at the City Gate was nothing short of excellent. The rooms are meticulously clean, well designed and spacious. The two staff we interacted with (Karissa and Manos) are both exceptionally attentive and accommodating. The location is excellent and is about a 3 min walk to all the restaurants and shops. Hands down the best hotel that I've stayed at in all of Greece.

We stayed for three nights at this phenomenal hotel as a family of 4. So modern and clean. Spacious and lots of high end amenities from a Nespresso machine to toiletries. Beds are comfortable. Great housekeeping service. Perfect location to pedestrian pathways for shopping and dining in the centre of Heraklion. Fantastic customer service and recommendations from property management with special thank you to Effie and Manos for their hospitality.

Wow, this hotel. Our room had a spiral staircase leading up to a 2nd bedroom, a full kitchen, 3 balconies! Excellent location too, just minutes away from Lion Square and a ton of restaurant options. Christos the owner is very nice and helpful.
