The room is very spacious, has large balcony with view for the ocean and the fortress. The room is clean and bed is comfortable. The location is very convenient close to many sightseeing place and dinning or shopping area. It is in the city center. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast has lots of choice! Highly recommended this hotel!

We were only here for one night but it fit our needs perfectly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and had a large balcony overlooking the harbor. They securely held our luggage the next day while we picked up our rental car and did a little exploring before heading to Chania. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We didn’t want to leave! The room was very comfortable, location is perfect, and the staff were all lovely. Breakfast was great. I’m not a fan of fried eggs that have been precooked but there were lots of other options. We would love to stay at this hotel again if we’re ever back in Heraklion.

Enjoyed our stay at the Ibis, we were only here for a night on our way to Chania but the room was perfect for our stay. One of the comfiest beds we had slept on during our whole trip in Europe. Staff were very helpful when we needed, and the buffet breakfast had so many options.

Locality, food, service and parking was extremely reasonable and made my stay relaxed. I was central to shopping centers and close to the airport. I didn’t need the rental car. The perfect spot to be in Heraklion.

The hotel is a good basic hotel, nothing fancy but has everything you need. The hotel is close to everything: shopping, restaurants, the harbor. The ladies at check in/out were super efficient and helpful. Parking lot was right next to the hotel and very reasonable at 9 euros/night for valet parking. The room we stayed in was spacious and modern but a bit too dark (more lighting needed in the far corners). Even though the room was clean, the darkness made it feel otherwise. Good options for breakfast.

Hotel has a great location. It’s in the heart of old town. The instructions on how to find it and where to park are very poor. They basically need to say go to the central Parkade and we are up the escalator from there. Instead, you get a bunch of explanation about how much it cost for parking which isn’t helpful. But the largest deterrent for me was that we checked in a little later on a day when it was 40°C in the room was stifling. You can only turn the air-conditioning down to 20. If you turn it down more, it doesn’t work and shut down the system. Clearly, this is about saving money rather than taking care of guests and their needs. Despite having the air-conditioning on for two hours, it was still over 23° in the room. It was late at night and they said I could move to another room. I was exhausted and this wasn’t going to happen. What made more sense was to cool the room before your guest arrive. I would stay at this hotel again if the temperature was moderate, and now that I know where to go to get into the hotel. If it’s going to be a hot summer day find somewhere better to stay where you can actually get some sleep.
