Relax with expansive views of Lake Superior as you bask in the glow of the wood fireplace's radiance. Waves echoing off the brownstone cliff upon which this special home is perched, absorb the splendor of bald and golden eagles soaring only feet away.

Minutes from your nest is Meyer's Beach, the common entry point to begin your kayak or hiking excursion to the sea and ice caves of this, the greatest of all lakes. Bike, hiking, motorsports, class one trout fishing, waterfalls and XC ski trails abound.

*The entire, two bedroom home that is Sky Fire is your private oasis away from home.

Seasonally, bathe in warm sunlight while relaxing in the south facing, enclosed front porch. Enjoy sitting around the fire pit in the front yard as you soak up the beauty of Lake Superior a stone's throw away. Your wonderful day having turned to night, the dark, amazingly starry sky over Lake Superior may grace the night owl with a show of the magically colorful northern lights. Well behaved, non-destructive, potty-trained dogs are welcome.

Snowmobile and ATV trails/routes are nearby. The area also has world class, well maintained fat tire bike trails that are groomed for winter riding. Wanna mush your own sled team of dogs? That's available nearby as well.

Indoors fun and gaming more your speed? Just short of Bayfield, nearby "Legendary Water's and Casino," awaits your arrival.

A peaceful, 1.3 mile walk from the home will have you stepping foot onto a glorious sandy swimming beach. With Lake Superior literally lapping at your feet, this beach stretches over a mile to the quaint town of Cornucopia where you'll find the marina, coffee shop, restaurant/bar, art and the, "It has everything" general store that is *Ehler's.

A 23 mile drive into Bayfield, WI will take you to a charming community serving tourist and locals alike, all of whom have an affinity for the allure of the nearby Apostle Islands that await your visit. Just a short ferry ride away, quaint Madeline Island is yours to explore and enjoy.

Sky Fire is an awesome place to stay! The kitchen is so well stocked with high quality cookware and even a gas range. The decor is classy and comfortable. Very clean place! The best thing is our black Labrador was welcome there. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

This house was amazing, was equipped with anything and everything you would ever need for your stay, the firepit outside was perfect for the cool evenings. We did bring our own wood so that we could have as many fires as we wanted for the four night that we were there. Sarah and Ellie were amazing host., if you get a chance to do the boat tour with Ellie, don’t pass it up. She is very well informed on everything about the lake and its culture! It’s way better than the tour cruise that you do for apostle Island, make sure you do all reserves in the whole area. They are amazing. Beds are very comfortable. Home is very accommodating with very nice utensils and cookware and bakeware as needed very clean and very updated. Will definitely stay here again and again.

We had our golden retriever with us and two grandchildren and both of our kids. We have a thing for Lake Superior! This was front and center! Easy to get to the big top and Bayfield and hiking trails! It is a gem!

Comfy, cozy and clean. Sky Fire was a beautiful home base that gave us easy access to the Corny, Herbster and Bayfield areas. We explored local shops, enjoyed great meals and some of the best blueberry picking. We explored beaches and hunted for yooperlite, experienced the brightest rainbow of our lives and still had plenty of down time to read, talk and recharge.

The place was awesome! The hosts were friendly and helpful working through a wi-fi/electrical outage issue and are clearly very passionate about the area! Nothing beats a fire and watching shooting stars. Comfy, clean, had everything we needed and more.

Great place to stay!

Wonderful place! The kitchen had everything we needed. The space was beautiful and the check in and out was very easy. Only thing to note (and it was unusually when we were there) no air conditioning. This was fine for a couple of nights. The last night was really warm and hard to sleep. Other than that fantastic place!

Very comfortable home and setting. Outside space was great for the dogs, and we loved having the washer and dryer! Easy access to Cornucopia. Beautiful views - just sorry it wasn’t at lake level.

Fantastic Apostle Islands vacation!

We had a wonderful time at this rental. With 2 adults and 3 kids and a dog, we had everything we needed plus more! Amazing view of Lake Superior, hammock, fire pit, kid friendly ace throwing, dog friendly, close to everything but tucked away, private, wooded, absolutely gorgeous location. And the owners were really nice and helpful. We will be back!

Beautiful View!

The view from this home is beautiful and the setting is quite serene. The home itself needs some attention, it looks like they are in the process of doing some touch up work on a lot of the walls, the ice maker is still broken, and the steps were broken. The house itself was pretty dirty which I was disappointed with. From reading the other reviews I am hoping it was just a one off. The house has great potential, it just needs some TLC. The host provided a very detailed binder of information on the area, which was much appreciated.

70th birthday getaway

Weather was great. Location breath taking. Got the most spectacular sunset pictures. Went to North Shore of as well for sightseeing. Highly recommend. The property was easy to get to but so isolated and peaceful. If you want to just get out of the hectic world this is the place!

Wonderful Lake Superior getaway!

My husband and I loved our weekend stay. It was important to us to find a dog friendly environment so our doodles, Vivian and Fern, could join us. The guesthouse was very private and we felt right at home. Our host, Erin, thought of all amenities including extra dog toys, which I found to be a sweet added touch. All checking in and checkout expectations were clear and helpful. Our stay was clean, comfortable, adorable and we felt safe. The view of Lake Superior was wonderful and loved the fireplace. We definitely recommend staying here if you are ever in the area. Thank you Erin for the lovely weekend getaway.

Getaway

Wonderful home. Beautiful view. Super quiet. Loved that we could bring our dog. Would definitely recommend. It is a guest house connected to another home but no one but us was there. If privacy is important just check the other side of home will be vacant during your stay.
