Insta-worthy 3 Bedroom Waterfront Cottage in Haliburton

Our cottage is located on Stormy lake and can sleep upto 8 guests. It has a beautifully landscaped backyard which slopes gently towards the water.Stormy lake is a spring fed lake in Highlands East and the water is great for Swimming, Boating and Fishing. The lake offers something for everyone. We have a local boat launch for those who want to do some boating , however it doesnt get very busy, unlike other lakes in the area, which is perfect for those who are trying to relax.

During the winter months our locality is great for Snowmobiling with the trails only being 10 mins away

We also have numerous ATV trails around the cottage for those who want to do some 4 wheeling.

Our cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and we try and provide as many amenities as possible to make our guests feel at home. Apart from the main cottage there is plenty of living space outside for the whole family to enjoy, the Gazebo(not available in winter), the Man Cave and the Bunkie

My family and I had a great vacation! The location was great (close to town) and the beach and waterfront were perfect for young kids and the water was weed free (shalllow but gets deep about 10 feet off the dock.The bunkie is a great space but gets very hot on hot days - probably only really mattered to us because of our toddler naps/sleep. They had a portable heater for the colder nights! The deck and sheltered gazebo were so great. There were other rustic ammenities and you can tell the property and cottage are well used/loved. Would recommend for 8 people or less.

Stayed here with 5 friends and it was a really good time. One complaint: the walls are the thinnest imaginable and the bedroom doors dont close, also considering there are so many beds it kind of sucked that there wasn't another washroom for us to use, especially since the one bathroom had a clogged bath drain.

Canada family gathering a la cottage

Our family of 8 adults had a wonderful 4 days on Stormy Lake. There was plenty of sleeping space with the addition of the Bunkie which , to me, was the best bedroom! We woke to the view of the lake. It may have been nice to have a second toilet but we were fine. The screened gazebo was fantastic for bug free suppers and evening cards. The dock on the lake is big and great for hanging out on. We enjoyed paddling the canoe and the two kayaks on the lake as well. The lake is shallow so no diving in which we knew but I think a cautionary sign on the dock should be added. We had a perfect few days overall. Thank You!

Cottage in Haliburton

Neat and generally clean cottage.We enjoyed our stay.Not really a problem, just would have been nice to know a few things before we arrived.'Towels provided' in the bathroom does not include any washcloths. In the kitchen there are no dishcloths/sponges/J-clothes or dish towels.There are no garbage bags provided at all. All these things we would have been happy to bring with us. Host just needed to tell people these things on the listing.Also, there is no garbage collection at all. You have to take your garbage with you. You can take it to a landfill but you have to pay to get a bag tag. Also not a problem for us, just would have liked to know this before we booked. Personally, I feel that for the price charged, they could have provided one garbage bag tag for the week.

Snow snow snow

This 3 bedroom cottage is small but lovely; with a well stocked kitchen and absolutely beautiful location. Photos reflect summer amenities
in winter there are no outbuildings / den or fire pit available. There is also a photo of a wood stove, but it was unconnected. The weekend we stayed there was a major snowstorm and we had to wait a number of hours to get plowed out (no fault of the host). Lovely spot.

Winter wonderland, fun getaway

We had a beautiful white Christmas at this cottage! We got to play a lot with the snow in the backyard, skate on the frozen lake and then stay cozy inside! Kitchen was well equipped! It’s good to keep in mind that the gazebo is not usable during winter (even though there’s a fireplace inside) and the fireplace inside the house was for decoration only. The one you can use is at the “man cave”, but firewood isn’t provided. Overall the experience was great and we would come back!

Great Location - Well-Managed Property

We stayed for four nights in early October and really enjoyed our stay. The property sits in a quiet corner of the lake. Nothing is ever perfect but this place was pretty damn good (the gazebo is pretty close to perfect!). We'll sign up to come back sometime soon. Last, the communication with the hosts was top level and very much appreciated.

Cottage with great deck space

Beautiful landscaping with great water entry and amazing heated gazebo since we didn’t have great weather. Bbq failed, but owner was not aware of rusted pan. I'm sure he'll replace. Extra washroom would of been nice, but for a family, this place is nice and makes for a great time up nirth on a lake. getaway

Lovely weekend away

Beautiful place ! Everything was in good condition. Well stocked with dishes, amenities and water activities (boat, canoe, kayaks). Beautiful gazebo and cozy cabins. Less privacy than expected with neighbouring cottages and an early quiet time (9pm). One thing we would have liked to know ahead of time was having to bring all garbage home with us. Check in and check out was straightforward. Hosts were quick to answer messages and super helpful. Was the perfect setting for our girls weekend.

We had a great stay at Rohan's.

All in all me and my wife were very pleased with our stay. The only downside was the cleanliness. When we arrived there were bugs throughout the house (mosquitos and moths), as well as bug guts on the walls and ceiling, not to mention a steady stream of new bugs throughout the week. Even with all windows and doors closed all day (during rain, for example), bugs still found a way in. Not a big deal, it's an older property and to be expected. The star of the show is the dock and the little cabin. The cabin faces ENE; nearly directly east; which means you get beautiful sunrises over the trees. The lake is clean and calm, and there was minimal boat traffic during our stay. There is lots of wildlife, but the water depth at the dock was only chest height. Great for kayaks/canoes, and a long snooze in a floating chair, but not good for swimming. The neighbouring dock is too close in our opinion, but we lucked out with a weeklong stay only have neighbours for 1 night. The property itself is well kept. We did not use the 'man-cave' as it smelt musty and with only 2 of us, we didn't see the value of airing it out. I can't give 4.5 stars, so I'm rounding up!

Fantastic property for a family getaway. Lots of room in the cottage for family activities and beautiful outdoor spaces for outdoor fun. Early spring visit so not alot of opportunity to use the outdoors but a sunny day provided a great opportunity to explore it.

Good winter weekend

Overall a good stay with a great view of the lake. We went during the winter and we were not aware some amenities outside of the additional outdoor bunk would not be available. This included the screened in porch, BBQ, and the wood stove in the cottage being unavailable for use. Also, the entrance could have benefited from more salt as it was slick. However, the cottage was well heated and we even had a patch of ice cleared that we could skate on at the lake front.

Awesome place

The property is really good. Its in the middle of the nature. Access to the lake made it so much fun. Having boats with life jackets was awesome. We were totally taken care of from the gact that wven big sprays & afyerbite were provided. Linens & towels were super clean.There was power outage when we got there which was soon restored. Wish we had a generator for those anxiety moments. Will give 5 stars for my stay.

We spent an awesome weekend at this property in January 2023. The inside of the cottage was immaculate. Kitchen was very well stocked with everything that you could think of and more. Beds were very comfortable. All bedding and pillows included. Main room had very comfortable leather furniture with power recliners. Television also included. We were able to connect our home TV service via our cell phone to view onto the cottage television. Four piece bathroom also included shampoo and conditioner and all towels. Washer and dryer too! Although the weather was cold the furnace worked well and quickly heated the cottage. Outdoors was beautiful with a walkout deck to a covered gazebo. Outdoor firepit and two extra cabins for extra sleeping areas. Absolutely love this hidden hideaway about 2.5 hours northeast of Toronto.
