Things went well the first night but my friend woke after the second night with two bites from bed bugs.

Renovations ongoing.

Pros: The value and the fact that a new generation is trying to make a go of it.
Cons: Stated above.
Location: Aberdeen is a very small town and there isn't a great selection of eating establishments nearby.
I found the accommodations to be quite satisfactory. I believe the desk clerk stated that the hotel has always been in the same family. The hotel is probably 50's or 60's vintage and is currently undergoing extensive exterior renovations by the current generation owners and looks very nice. The room itself looked like it was probably upgraded except for the bathroom. The bathroom fixtures look to have been replaced but the ceramic tile throughout is probably original to the building. I can only comment on my room. Perhaps some of the others have undergone more extensive upgrades. I'm sure that complete interior renovations will follow as time and revenue allow.
