The Asian inspired Orchid Room features original carved artwork and furniture imported from Bali, air conditioning, private screened-in lanai/balcony, with fantastic ocean views. Enjoy luxury hypoallergenic bedding and a contemporary tropical bathroom design.

Great view of the ocean, just past the parking lot. Due to the coqui frogs and the park street lamps, please consider providing ear plugs and sleep masks. Good coffe, one cup per day, at this price point seems a bit slim. Actual cutlery and plates would be a nice upgrade. Access to the ocean is very, very good!

Chris was great. He was prompt on sending check-in information as well as information about things to do. The house was wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. There were absolutely no bugs. All the screens had been caulked to the windows to ensure no pests. Even the lanai was fully screened and sealed. It was a relaxing place.

Beautiful room with an amazing view of the ocean. We may have been very lucky because the parking lot that the room overlooks was closed due to extreme ocean activity, so there was no noise from the parking lot because there were no people. Normally this could be a very busy beach. There is a gate that goes from this property to the park, which makes it very easy to enter the park. When the ocean is calm, this would be a nice way to get to the park. The room was very clean. The shower was great.

Pleasant Oasis on the Big Island

Hilo Paradise!

This lovely place was just what we were looking for! It was central to the places we wanted to visit like the chocolate farm and vanilla farm, and Kilauea treated us to a lava show while we were there that was sooo awesome! The room itself was so well designed and had such beautiful fixtures and accents. The fully screened lanai was perfect for relaxing with coffee each morning and listening to the nature sounds of the island at night. Chris, our host, was the best. Check-in was so easy and access to the property and room for the week that we were there was so well designed! It exceeded our expectations in every way!

Lovely stay. Easy walk to the beach. Beautiful views. Wonderful property manager. This unit overlooks Onekahakaha Beach Park parking lot and then the beach is right in the very short distance. This is a public park - which has its separate considerations, especially on the weekends when family and friends gather there. I would still choose this place. It’s fantastic..

Secluded and beautiful and right on the beach

We only stayed for two nights while we explored the big island. Wish we could have stayed longer, location right on the beach, for snorkeling, and privacy. Secure parking, and wonderful balcony with a view. Hosts were great.

A little slice of heaven!

We loved being directly on this calm beach, with beach chairs, pool noodles and snorkel gear provided. The screened in lanai was beautiful and fun to people watch, and mostly local families used this beach, so it was quiet at night to listen to the frog chorus. The place is exquisitely decorated and furnished. So comfortable! And close to town, restaurants and the airport.

Hidden gem in Hilo

We adored our stay in Hilo! The room was very updated and spacious, spectacular view, total privacy, even helpful local suggestions for what to do and where to eat (if you wanted them). Walking right to the beach takes 2 minutes (can see from balcony) and they have some beautiful flowers and plants right on property to enjoy as well; including a sweet cat that hangs out downstairs and will be happy to greet you and request a pet if you're up for it. Even saw a HUGE sea turtle one morning from the rocks. Hilo itself was spectacular. Great central location to head out to all the major destinations. You can drive the across the whole island in about 1.5 hours so you have the whole island to play with. Can't recommend this stay enough!

Beautiful Property

I appreciate how clean this place is. I slept so well, the bed is so comfortable and really beautiful. The property is secluded with views of the ocean. It overlooks a park where families gather on the weekends. Here on a Monday it’s mostly empty. We enjoyed our stay.

Hilo Oceanfront Orchid Room

We had a wonderful stay at the Oceanfront Orchid Room! It is located across the street from a kid friendly ocean side park and a short drive from downtown Hilo. The host was very responsive in communication, met us when we arrived and settled us into our rooms. The suite was very clean, nicely appointed and well organized. We would definitely stay there again when we visit Hilo.
