Welcome to 1 Gadwall - a private home in the South Beach area of Sea Pines! Relax in this five bedroom, five bathroom home with a private pool that can sleep up to ten guests total. The private pool offers complimentary pool heat seasonally**. 1 Gadwall is conveniently located directly beside the beach path and on the 3rd row to the ocean. A short, easy 1–2 minute walk will have your feet in the sand.

Another perk? This is a dog friendly rental! The pet fee is $250 plus tax and covers up to two dogs maximum. If you are planning on bringing your furry friend, please reach out to our office in advance to pay the additional fee and confirm your four legged BFF.

There are three bedrooms on the main floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. There are no stairs from the driveway into the house. The private pool deck is partially shaded with large oaks and pines to provide both sun and shade. Barbecue with the gas grill and dine on the pool deck just steps from the kitchen.

The home is so close to the ocean it’s easy to go back and forth from the beach to grab drinks, jump in the pool, fix lunch, and take kids back for a break. The home is in a perfect beach location to see dolphins every day as they swim in and out of Calibogue Sound! Enjoy watching boats of all kinds going in and out of the Sound daily! Sunsets are magical on the south end of the island! You’ll have a front row seat to some of the most beautiful sunsets you can imagine!

This home is a short walk to the world-famous Salty Dog restaurant! Enjoy a meal, shop for a Salty Dog t-shirt, and enjoy some ice cream afterwards. Tennis and pickleball at South Beach Racquet Club are a short five minute walk from the house! This is a very popular place for racquet sports, and they just added new lighted pickleball courts in 2023. South Beach Marina is also walking distance from the house which you can do sailing charters, kayak tours, paddleboard, boat rentals, wildlife tours, and banana boat rides. Harbour Town is a ten minute drive for shopping, restaurants, and music. And multiple golf courses are an easy drive away. The home is perfect for families, tennis/pickleball getaways, or golf trips!

**As long as the outside temperature doesn't fall below 55 degrees, you are all set to enjoy FREE pool heat typically March through May & September through November (must reach out to our office in advance of your stay to confirm and schedule).

• Distance to Beach: 3rd Row Ocean - located on a beach path

• Pool Info: Approximately 26 feet by 10 feet. The pool is able to be heated seasonally only. It is not able to be heated if the temperatures drop below 55 degrees at any point during your stay. Must call or email us at least two weeks prior to your arrival to arrange for pool heat.

• Dog Friendly: This home permits a max of two dogs to stay in the home. The pet fee is $250 plus tax – please reach out to our office in advance to confirm and pay the additional pet fee.

• Paying guest reservations staying between 4-27 nights will receive a $250 VayK Life beach/bike gear credit. This will be emailed to you after making a reservation and is valid for VayK Life rentals only.

• Parking: Parking is available for up to three cars total at 1 Gadwall. Due a smaller driveway, no more than three cars are able to park at the home & they all can't be larger SUVs. Parking passes are an additional $17/pass per week.
