Wonderful Location & Home in Sea Pines

Great communication and interaction with Linda & Jay in securing this lovely property! There was plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kiddos including two teens and so much to do! This part of the beach was perfect with few people and no crowds. The house was thoughtfully furnished with a kitchen that lacked nothing and they even had products in the bath, laundry room, and kitchen. We enjoyed this home so much and look forward to a return trip!

Our favorite stay at HHI yet!

Property was fantastic for my family plus extended family. close proximity to the beach made it easy to lug gear to/from, not any further than the beachfront condos we've stayed at in the past - with no elevators or stairs. and the heated pool / hot tub made the difference for cooler temps off season. Plenty of space and well appointed interior.

Great experience at Tropical Retreat

We really loved the property. It was convenient to the beach and very well laid out, well finished, and plenty of bedrooms. Unfortunately, lightning struck the house on Monday afternoon during a thunderstorm. This caused serious damage to the dishwasher, wifi, cable, water lines, pool, and the house itself. The fire dept. even came out to check the situation. Jay and Linda went way above what we expected to make sure everything was repaired as much as possible. They even stayed very late on Monday night to repair a water line which affected our house and 3 other houses nearby. We were amazed that they could repair this, especially at night. This saved the trip since we thought we might have to move to another location due to no water. They, also, made arrangements to get an electrician out the next morning to check everything. They replaced the dishwasher and got the cable provider to come and repair the cable and wifi. Jay stayed with us until everything was repaired. We were very impressed with the extra effort that Jay and Linda made to get things back to normal as much as possible. They truly are outstanding people and great representatives of VRBO, Sea Pines, and Hilton Head. They made what could have been a disaster for our vacation into a wonderful experience in seeing what great customer service actually can be.

Spectacular, Location, cleanliness, thoughtfulness

We were looking forward to going to Hilton head and staying at the Tropical Retreat. It is three houses from the beach, a very short walk. In the days prior to our arrival the Management company and the owners sent us information on what to expect, what to do all of which made our arrival smooth. We entered the house and were in AWE, whoa, wow! Closer inspection raised our bar more. Cleanliness is an understatement. When I say thoughtfulness, the presentation of towels on the beds, and all the little things you forget like detergent. They checked in with us a couple of times and my nephew texted for help with the tub not draining and a maintenance person arrived within an hour. My nephew failed to pull up the plug to the bathtub to drain. The kitchen, is modern and has every feature you could possible want. Open plan living room made family time great. Pool was nice. Washer dryer are modern. TV's are abundant. We would have no hesitation returning! Thank you

We had a wonderful visit at this property. You cannot beat the location and the floor plan was perfect for our group. The few suggestions I would add is simply: new mattresses and the pool needs treated (even in the winter). We would absolutely stay at this property again.

Great Location and Nicely Decorated

Our family of 6 enjoyed this house very much. We had room to spread out given there are family rooms upstairs and on the main level, and plenty of sleeping space. Every room in the house was spacious too allowing us to never feel cramped. The house has nice skylights and some recent renovations opened up the upstairs level to let in a lot of wonderful light and nice views of the tropical landscape. All other amenities including bathrooms and kitchen worked just great for us and we had enough utensils and such to go around. The pool is a bit small which could be a bit hard with kids who want to jump around (i.e., could be dangerous) - it's really only suitable for two or three people floating or standing to cool off. This home has a terrific location too, only 50 yards or so to the beach. And it's close to downtown Sea Pines including the Beach Club and the golf courses and tennis. Of course, you're never far from those areas anyway in Sea Pines but this location is terrific. Highly recommend this house.

Perfection

Tropical Retreat is an absolute gem. The house is beautifully renovated, spotlessly clean, the location to the beach is superb (3 minute walk!), and the pool and spa heat work exceptionally well (totally worth the money.) For those of you remote working and schooling, the internet is fast and reliable. The best though is how thoughtful Stephanie and Todd are. We arranged baby item rental and beach bike rentals through them and everything was delivered and set up before our arrival with no hiccups. They were always quick to respond to emails and helped us so much. We had questions about internet speed and Stephanie and Todd answered them as best as possible, and the owner even replaced the router before our stay! We can't wait to come back!

This property was perfect for our family vacation. The house was absolutely beautiful and location was perfect. Two minute walk to the beach and so many restuarants and places to visit within minutes. We rented bikes for the week and would highly recommend it as there are bike trails to take you everywhere. The pool and patios were great to hang out in. We had a few small issues and they were handled within minutese, very repsonsive. Can't wait to come back!
