Sky Harbor Cabin - Homer Seaplane Base

The Homer Seaplane Base is located right on Beluga Lake in the Heart of Homer. Offering six cabins, and four suites, we provide guests the unique opportunity to stay at a fully functioning seaplane base. Guests are encouraged to visit our on-site restaurant, " Water Rudders,” which offers a wide selection of beer, wine, and delicious fare. Guests looking for a bit of adventure should contact our partner Beryl Air, located on-site, just steps away from your front door.

Please feel free to contact us by messaging, text, phone, or email. If you need anything, we are happy to help. Should you need assistance in person, you are welcome to stop by the Beryl Air Office (located on-site) during regular operating hours.

The Homer Seaplane Base is the perfect home base for your Homer adventure and beyond. Located right off Ocean Drive, we are situated between the famous Homer Spit and downtown. Close to fishing tours, floatplane adventures, restaurants, shopping, groceries, and more. While on-site, please feel free to visit Water Rudders, our on-site restaurant where you can expect delicious food and a great selection of beer and wine. Beryl Air, our local floatplane partner, is also on-site and available for all your adventure needs.

The cabin is private and entirely yours during your stay. You will check yourself in using our keyless entry keypad located on the front door of the cabin. Please note you must use stairs to access the entrance of the cabin. You will also use stairs to access the common areas around the property. Parking is available in our dedicated gravel lot. We encourage guests to park at the top of the lot near the road. However, we ask that you do not block the dumpster. The Sky Harbor cabin is the gold cabin located on the west side of the property along the boardwalk. There is a sign near the front door that indicates Sky Harbor Cabin. You will be a 1-2 minute walk from the parking lot.

Our Sky Harbor Cabin offers two queen beds in the main bedroom, equipped with wall mounted Smart TV, providing accommodations for up to 4 guests. The cabin also offers a sitting room, dining table, kitchenette including stove-top, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, 12-cup coffee pot, and basic cooking essentials. Guests will also enjoy the residential washer and dryer located in the bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The Homer Seaplane Base is conveniently located between the Homer Spit and downtown. Homer is accessible by car, plane, or boat—a popular destination for cruisers, aviation enthusiasts, RV’ers, and landlubbers. Homer offers a variety of transportation options, including rental car facilities, taxi service, and of course, fat bikes. The Homer Airport is located within two miles of the seaplane base, and you will be close to all dining, shopping, and tours.

The Homer Seaplane Base is a fully functioning seaplane base and facilitates lodging accommodations, a restaurant, an event space, and floatplane tours. We have multiple units located at the seaplane base, and you are welcome to use any of the designated common areas on the property. Keep in mind amenities such as the fire pit, onsite restaurant, and floatplane tours operate seasonally.

Very fun property to stay at. Close to the spit and any tourist activities around town. The sea plane base was amazing watching planes come in and out. We were able to get some amazing photos and sunrise/sunsets relaxing near the water.

The whole grounds are beautiful. Cabin was really comfortable for four people. Abundance of wildlife. Really enjoyed watching the float planes take off and land on the lake. Family friendly. I will recomend to friends.

Delightful!

What a pleasant experience. Very nicely furnished cabin with all of the amenities we could ask for. Super easy check-in and check-out. The Water Rudder eatery has very nice snacks. And the setting is fabulous: perfect for observing the coming and going of seaplanes on Homer-Beluga Lake. Highly recommended.

Great location, love having washer and dryer. Spices, cooking spray, coffee, filters, sweeteners, paper towels, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, laundry detergent, blow dryer all supplied. Only negative was dull kitchen knives and not enough dish towels supplied. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if ever back in Homer.

Lovely place, would stay again!

We had such a great stay at Homer seaplane base! The property was very charming. We loved the setup of the cabins and the deck leading down to the water. The cabin is setup with everything you need and we loved the layout of the cabin. We do wish that our cabin had room darkening shades/blinds. The blinds in the cabin did not block out light which made sleeping pretty difficult. It did look like some of the other cabins on the property had better blinds. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again!

Good place to stay in Homer

My mother and I enjoyed our stay in Homer at the Seaplane Base. The Sky Harbor cabin worked for us. Overall, it was good, not great though. My mother has mobility issues and this cabin takes a number of stairs to get to, but it wasn't explained in the description. The "A/C" in the room was difficult to use successfully and the instructions didn't help. I realize there isn't a much room for it, but having the TV only in the bedroom instead of the living room/kitchen made it difficult to enjoy. The kitchen needs new pans. The beds are also quite hard. Everything else was great! Beautiful property.

A Wonderful Stay On the Lake in Homer

Wow! Our adventure with Beryl Air to visit Katmai, Lake Clark, and Kenai Fjords National Parks was amazing. Spending 4-1/2 hours flying over some of the most beautiful land on earth and landing on gorgeous lakes at all three parks was an experience we will never forget. While Mother Nature played the leading role, our pilot Henry in the air and Nina on the ground offered major contributions to the fabulous day. We cannot thank them enough. We stayed in the Homer Seaplane Base's Sky Harbor cabin (associated with Beryl Air) for a couple of nights. The cabins are very nice, large, have everything you need, and are right on Beluga Lake, with a great view. Sure was convenient to walk out the front door and head over to the plane for our national parks flight. Loved the accommodations! To top it all off, we ate dinner after our flight at Water Rutters, right above the Beryl Air offices. We shared Pan-Fried Fingerling Potatoes and Warm Focaccia Bread. I had the Elk Albondigas (meatballs), while my wife enjoyed the Alaskan Halibut Cheeks. Delicious! Our favorite dinner in Alaska. This two-month-old restaurant should become one of the top places to eat in Homer. The couple that own and run the place are very nice. Beryl Air, Homer Seaplane Base, and Water Rutters combined to earn a 10 out of 10 from us.
