The check in process is absolutely insane and inconvient. After a long day of traveling, I tried to check in ten minutes before 5pm without even thinking because normally check in times everywhere is 3pm. Well the keys were lost and couldn't get them for another 30 minutes and that's only because someone that lived there helped me...not Barsala customer service. Also it's a compound with intense "rules." I would suggest you look for another spot considering the price.

Just book it already!

I wouls definitely stay there again in a heartbeat. Had a few hiccups with getting our key or the breaker tripping once. But other than those minor things, our guest experience help, answered any questions that arose or had issues with. Very clean, security for the building was extremely nice and reassuring. We used it as a stay-cation and will be doing it again in the future. Well worth it. If you are thinking about it, do it. Amenities alone made the trip worth it besides the great views.

Disappointing

Terrible experience, poor communication between Barsala management and on-site manager. First booking was cancelled by the on-site manager- something about a long-term occupant but the listing continued to show available. Had to go through the Barsala website which prevented reward collection. Once a reservation was finally reserved, the unit was on the street with traffic all night long, and the bed was sunken in. Management moved us but charged extra. None of the furniture is comfortable, and extra towels, blankets etc. are unavailable. Overall, dont expect to do more than eat & shower here.

Great location. Very safe. Quiet building with no loud parties, great for families and seniors. It is a much more sophisticated alternative to Midtown.

Great view and service!

This place was very clean and secure. It was minutes from River Oaks shopping and late night dining. We loved it. Great view from balcony and pool. Just have a little patience with the online check-in and key process, because after that - you are good to go! It also had a nice game room and lobby area.

The view was amazing from our room and from the pool! The pool was so relaxing and the hangout area was so chic! The room it’s self was great! Only thing was that the room was a bit dusty from I guess being vacant for a while and the floors were a bit firstly but there is a broom and I just swept it up and went on with my stay. I was satisfied and will book again! Thank you for an amazing stay in Houston 💕

The apartment was great, new and spacious studio w everything you need and more. Unfortunately The bed was terrible, I was actually shocked at how bad it was, it literally felt like a broken mattress. Also maybe it was just my luck and timing but the hot tub/spa was broken when I went to use it and also the really cool cappuccino machine in the downstairs lobby needed servicing. Oh the in suite washer//dryer and gym downstairs was really convenient and nice as well. I booked four nights and made the mistake of thinking every night was the same price and then found out I was paying more than double what I anticipated on a couple nights :( read the details carefully when booking through third parties.

Pick somewhere else

I would not recommend this company. This was hands down the worst check in process I have ever experienced. I was moved three times, and at one point another customer walked in my room because he was also completely confused. Accommodations were meh…definitely not 4 stars. They also have a non-industry standard check in time of 5pm and charge $100 to arrive early. Additionally, they have sound monitors in the room, which isn’t really a problem, but just feels invasive.

Unfortunately one of the thw two booked condos were not cleaned from the previous stay(bed, towel on the floor, plate in the sink). However, property management provided an additional bed for the night and cleaned the condo the next morning.

Flawless Stay

Beautiful unit that was fairly new. All new fixtures, new and modern. Decorated nice and was comfortable! Check in was detailed and easy. Excellent safe location. I am definitely booking again

Check in and check out procedures can be improved. There is no manager on site and online document verification etc. is flawed when booking via hotels.com.. No upfront email as announced etc. So best to be proactive. Needs good reliable US data connection to finalize check in. Took me about 1,5 hours to get it done, which is bothersome after a 20hr+ international travel day. Also I witnessed a lot of folks having similar issues.. once checked in the property is beautiful.. Not much information on check out procedure.. Key is supposed to be returned to key cafe.. in room there is contradicting information that states ro leave keys in apartment. Key cafe needs to be opened with tag on keys not the apartment fob, which is noteworthy. tableware was missing two glasses which were announced to be brought, but did not happen over 12 night stay. Other tham these smaller hickups it is a great spot to be
