The lobby was closed due to "Covid". Had to deal with staff through window. It is Feb. 2025. Room was in poor repair (cracked floor tile, missing lamp fixtures, broken window blinds, stains on wall, missing strips of laminate on furniture, sheets with stains).
This hotel has severely declined since I last stayed there in 2020. The material condition is horrible and the customer service was horrible. Pictures and anecdotal accounts available upon request. I intend to contact Roadway and Choice about the 3rd world conditions and the severe impact to Rodeway & Choice’s reputations.
Management was horrible. I paid for a room that held up to five people for my son, his fiancé and their two children.
When I checked in everything was fine I paid for a four day stay ( holidays). I received a call from a mail manager, I guess stating my family had to leave and unless I paid $30 cash every day even after I stated the room holds up to five people they’re only four.
I will never ever use this hotel again.
The room was so bad that I checked out less than an hour from the time I checked in. I didn't even ask for a new room or a refund. The room was extremely dirty. The mattress had stains from what looked like old bed bug feces and the mattress was never replaced. The shelf where the bath towels were stored had dirt and grime in them. One of the "clean" towels had a long black hair in it. The walls had holes in them. The room smelled like smoke and the comforter had multiple burn holes in it, despite the room being labeled as smoke free. HORRIBLE!
Utterly disgusting. The bed blanket had holes and tears. The walls were half painted. The room reeked of mold. The shower tub was stained brown and yellow. The cupboards had rat-proof foam in many crevices. The doors were scuffed and marked all over. The floor had loose tiles. The only positive is the location of the hotel. It is in walking distance to the medical center and Rice Village. The motel needs a major renovation.
Was unable to even check in because no one was in the front office , when trying to reach them the landline phone was purposefully placed of the next to the phone base. So the phone would just ring and go straight to voicemail. Waited for 45 minutes during a natural disaster trying to get my family safely checked in . They never answered or showed up to speak to me or the Expedia representatives. So I had to take my family to another hotel near by . They also refuse to answer on order to get a refund . This has been the most awful experience ever.

Room was mostly clean, bedspread had some suspicious spots on it. We didn't use it. And the hard tile floors had a cleaning solution residue that was slippery and sticky and unpleasant. Otherwise, a nice room, comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom.
There was something spilled between the beds that didn't get mopped up. There were cockroachs in the kitchen. There was change on one the beds which we let.There was a yellow glove behind towels in bathroom. There is a whitish film in the kitchen cabinets. The whole room stinks like mold and mildew. You get what you pay for.
