Go for it

Far beyond my expectations, convenient to everything, quiet (except for the inevitable train passing noise).super clean no odd smell at all, and the backpackers seem to be nicest people ou can find too. It's economic yet comfortable stay, i couldn't find any reason to complain now that i paid $22 for a big room with a king bed table and chair and private bath and walking distance to the train station

A very fun and nice hostel. Mix of Taiwanese and international guests. Staff was very welcoming. Neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, and only a short walk to the train station and dining options. Would visit again.

Lovely stay in Hualien

My stay at BayHouse was incredible! The staff are the friendliest and went out of their way to make me feel welcome and have a good time in Hualien. Any time they saw me, I was greeted by my name (which is a small gesture that means a lot) and we had a bit of small talk. The hostel’s environment is very cosy and I really love their eco-friendly ethos. If ever in Hualien again, I would definitely stay here. Absolute value for money!

Good location

We really enjoy our stay in Bayhouse. Very close to the train station. The host is very nice and friendly. 1 minus thing is you can hear train passes by in the morning till evening. It didn't bother me and my little boy. If you are a light sleeper maybe you'll have to think about it. Other than that everything is good. We will come stay again if we can.

Home away from home!

Bayhouse is a very lovely place, quiet and comfortable. I found the staff very friendly and welcoming! Really enjoyed my stay there for 4 nights! It would be good if Bayhouse could invest in some bicycles for guests to rent directly for riding around Hualien!

It's close to Hualien Station and has great access to public transport. There are also delicious restaurants about a 10-minute walk away, so I'm very satisfied with the location. However, there was no staff at the front desk, the door key number was an automated email, check-in and check-out was done by leaving the key on the desk, there was no explanation of the hotel facilities, and I couldn't ask anything about restaurants or sightseeing, so it wasn't a good hotel.
