We loved the location right in the middle of town. The pool was a nice touch. Room was clean and comfortable. Had an awesome experience!

From what I could see, I would say this is the best value, location, and best ambiance in Huacachina. The only disadvantage was no A/C. We left the window open (no screen) and there is a fan. If it had been noisy outside our window, that could have been a problem. The advantage is a beautiful pool and seating around it. Gorgeous landscaping and a huge dune looming in the view from the pool. It was a very pleasant place to hang out. Breakfast was included, with eggs prepared to order too.
We traveled in on PeruHop, though did not do hostels as most "hopsters" do. We loved this hotel.
Restaurants in the Huacachina did not impress. All over Peru we found great food for reasonable, but a little less so here. Maybe it felt less welcoming because the patios were crowded on a Saturday night. Wild Olive seemed good for crepes and coffee and had the best patio seating vibe midday and afternoon the next day.
You must do the Dune Buggy Ride and Sandboarding or you won't understand how vast and beautiful the dunes are. Although, be prepared, it is a thrill ride, not for those who don't like rollercoaster rides.
The Pisco winery tour was a disappointment, but if you've had enough of Huacachina, it offers a ride through the area and something different to see.
