Room with a view!

I read other reviews that were not so good but we couldn’t have been happier! We had a king suite with ocean view and it didn’t disappoint! AC worked great! Cute decor. Comfy bed! Could see ocean from sitting at the kitchen counter enjoying coffee. Great location! Clean park across the street, little local bars and restaurants all over within walking distance. Easy parking. Will come back!

I had to text some mystery person to get anything we needed like coffee, towels, etc. I asked for room to be serviced and they left what we needed on a chair outside our room. The floor got very sandy as we were by the beach and no one came in to sweep or change sheets after a few days. Unacceptable for the price paid.

We were very disappointed with our stay at the Sand Castle Inn and Suites in Imperial Beach. The room was in a state of disrepair as caulking was peeling in both room areas the view out of our window was of the laundry facility. The bed was not very comfortable, too hard. Paint drips splattered the window in the door. No waste paper basket. The towels were rough, scratchy and very dingy, I use better towels on my dog. Not a fan of the contactless check in with the host; we were not allowed early check in due to housekeeping issues. Based on the condition of the room I don’t think they ever found a member of house keeping team. One last thing it appears that we were misinformed about the quality of this location based on what we saw on the website.

I recently stayed at the Sandcastle Inn on Imperial beach and I can honestly say this is such an underrated hotel! My boyfriend and I came to San Diego for my birthday and we decided we wanted to stay in a quiet, peaceful beach town. This hotel was right across from the beach as well as in walking distance to many restaurants. I never thought I’d like the non traditional check in, but I loved it! The hostess's make you feel reassured and immediately answering any questions. The rooms itself have so much to offer. The aesthetic of the room is cozy, making you feel like you’re on a tropical vacation. It even comes with a kitchenette! It was such a clean and wonderful place. I would 10/10 recommend anyone to stay here.

I will definitely stay again. Loved the contactless service, the Tulum vibe room with kitchenette was awesome. Across the street from the beach and next to restaurants. All walking distance. The amenities were great.
