It is a quaint little attic apartment in a 100 year old home. It is a 10-15 min walk to the train station which will take you many places. There are many restaurants just up the street with great food. There is a laundromat about one block up the street which makes it easy to wash clothes and get them back to the house. It served its purpose of allowing a place to stay with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. Wanderson was great when we messaged him about some stuff and came the same day to fix it. It was a bit warm but the portable and window unit ACs do help. Both stairs are spiral, steep, narrow, and difficult to navigate with luggage unless you are very strong. The kitchen is small but serviceable. Shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and towels are provided as well as coffee, tea, a few spices, and sugar/sweetener. I am in my 40s and my mother is in her 60s and we were having some trouble with the stairs by the end of the day when we were tired. Make sure the shorter person stays in the room with the AC unit as the gabled roof creates an interesting ceiling (see photos), I may have hit my head more than a few times when not paying attention, and I’m only 5ft 7in. The second bedroom has a door out onto a nice little balcony and access to the second spiral staircase that is outdoors. Overall while we probably wouldn’t choose to stay there again, it isn’t the fault of the apartment or host, it is due to our own health and limitations.
