We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Excellent friendly staff. Any issue is dealt with promptly. The open deck top floor with a pool is awesome. Sunsets from there are epic. There are restaurants and a convenience store within easy walking distance. It is a bit of a hike to the main town, but that also makes for a quiet environment. It is a nice beach for walking along as you go to town. Kind of a white, hard packed sand that allows you to wear shoes if you want to. The only downside was that we did not have a refrigerator, so we were buying ice daily to use in our small cooler we brought. Be aware that mosquitos are a problem on the island. I used deet extensively, and never got bit, but my wife was not so fortunate. Also, after a rain, the unpaved roads get ugly, and when dry it can be a bit dusty. All part of the fun if you let it be! We would stay here again for sure.

Amazing experience, price was great. Staff was incredible. My fiancé and I loved the view from the room. And we enjoyed the day with Mostaza, the lobby dog. They provided all the tour options for a great price directly from the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and the service was great every time. Also the view from the rooftop was incredible, drinks were great and it was a perfect spot to rest. We will definitely be returning

The staff were welcoming and helpful. Cassandra was amazing and made our stay amazing. We loved the location close enough to town but away from the main hotel zone. Sunsets from the balcony were epic. We definitely will come back to Holbox and hopefully stay here again..

The hotel is beautiful and layout is well designed. I wouldn't recommend for families with kids under 4/5 because of stairs and the way balconies are designed. The kitchen was only stocked with pots and pans (no towels or salt/pepper). The restaurants nearby are worth several visits. The beach is probably one of the cleanest and super convenient. There's a great little food and drink spot on the next property over. Overall great spot but I think the service was too bare bones.

This hotel feels like a rustic resort! It was clean and the reception staff were helpful and nice. I booked the tours they recommended and had a great time! Casa Astral is located on the quieter side of the island. It’s a bit of a walk to the “centro” but no more than 12-15 minutes to get there. The hotel isn’t directly by the water, but it is a quick 2 minute walk. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and I can’t wait to be back.

Thank you Kassandra and Deisy for your warm hospitality and service. They helped me arrange food and beer delivered to my door (lobster pizza was insane) and arranged an early morning taxi for me. The property was immaculate, the pictures don't do it justice. My room had a patio facing with full view of the pristine beach and water. I had such a relaxing and peaceful experience here. I came during prime mosquito season and it was still worth it.

We stayed for 5 nights. We loved the location of the hotel, all of the amenities, and the room was both very clean and beautiful. The receptionists Daisy and Kassandra were very welcoming, pleasant, and professional. Kassandra went above and beyond in recommending tours, restaurants, and assisting in getting take-out food. We highly recommend Casa Astral and we plan on coming back soon!

The staff was extremely accommodating from the start. While it was initially difficult to get a hold of them, they did follow up to confirm our arrival time and even held our reservation when we missed our flight — which we really appreciated. The room itself was small but comfortable, with a fully functioning and quiet AC. The only noticeable downside was the pillows — they were quite thin. We requested extras, but unfortunately, since the hotel was fully booked, none were available. Our favorite part was the rooftop pool and bar. The views, especially at sunset, were absolutely beautiful. A special shoutout to Mario — he was incredibly kind, helpful, and fun to talk to. He gave us great recommendations and truly elevated our experience. Also, thank you to the cleaning staff — they were amazing! Would love to return soon. Highly recommend this stay!
