The kitchen is stocked with essentials for cooking, and the bedrooms offer peaceful sleep after a day in Yellowstone. Whether you`re winding down inside or getting fresh mountain air outdoors, Grinning Bear is all about slowing down and savoring nature.

The two closest major airports are Bozeman, MT and Idaho Falls, Idaho. There is also a small West Yellowstone Airport.

Please note there is no central air conditioning, however there is a portable unit in the primary bedroom.

*Roads are maintained but the wind and snow in the fall, winter and Spring can be unpredictable. We HIGHLY recommend an AWD vehicle in the winter and shoulder months.

Note: Some homes in this area may experience a slight discoloration in the water due to naturally high iron content—this is normal for the region. This home is equipped with a water filtration system, including a softener, a sediment filter, a UV light, and a carbon filter. Some guests choose to use bottled water for drinking during their stay in Island Park, which is totally fine and a common preference.
