J'ai connu mieux

Chambre moyenne, sans lampes de chevet, douche à la propreté moyenne (traces de calcaire sur la robinetterie et un minuscule filet d'eau chaude à la douche, loin du confort vanté et attendu pour le prix à la nuité.

Nice place to stay in the middle of Sultanehmet

The hotel is in the best area just behind the Blue Mosque, we booked 2 rooms as a family, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely receptionist Dilruba who did her best to make us feel confortable. Naar, the lady who cleans was also very nice and very helping. The rooftop terrace has amazing view but they dont serve breakfast, but they allowed us to bring our breakfast and make our coffee and tea. Kettle was also available in the rooms. One room had fridge, the other room did not have. The bad thing is that the second day, the elevator stopped working and we had to climb 3 stories but they helped with luggage. In brief, a nice small clean basic hotel, in an excellent area, and very good price, and welcoming staff.

Spent 3 weeks here and really enjoyed it ! It's located right in the middle of Sultanahmet (the "Old City") between the Blue Mosque and AyaSophia.......great area to walk and explore. Also, the Metro stop is a one minute walk from the hotel ! A big plus is the rooftop terrace.......you can enjoy breakfast, a drink, etc. on the rooftop with a 360 degreee view of Istanbul ! The view really is incredible, especially at night. The staff was great; Dilrabol, who manages the hotel was GREAT ! She spoken several languages so communication is not a problem......she helped with any questions I had. I will definitely stay at Askin Hotel on my next trip to Istanbul. Johnny

Very delighted

Very nice small hotel. The location is the best - only 2 min to the Blue Mosque by feet! Price-quality - 100%. Also the boss is always friendly, helpful and understanding. He is trying to do his best for the guests. I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for the best location and friendly atmosphere!

Great location, good size clean rooms staff are friendly although not all that proffesional wifi can be a bit hit or miss, it has a roof terrace with an amazing view but there is no coffee shop, bar or wifi there, they could do a lot more with the hotel but over all I enjoyed my stay

Small Hotel in Old City

The location of the hotel is great and the staff were very friendly. They did not have a room prepared for me so they offered me a choice of three. The one I chose wasnÂŽt ready so they asked me to sleep in one of the others the first night. They didnÂŽt get round to moving me... In eight days they did not change sheets or towels. However the staff were really nice and helped with taxis and advice.

Disgusting hotel

Absolutely terrible hotel. Got shown a room and it had a wall covered in mould. Moved to another room and it was just as bad. Strange smell comes out the toilet, didnt even get a proper blanket. Towels had a funny smell too. Bed had hair on it and there was a mosquito im the room too. Overall just a really terrible hotel experience. Definitely would not recommend to anyone. Wasn't exactly cheap at close to ÂŁ40 a night.

Avoid, if you can

Hotel staff did not honor the reservation (booked double room with sea view got single room overlooking street). Noisy environment from loud music in nearby restaurant. Room was smelly and humid with mildew in shower and peeling wall paint with hair and toothpaste stuck on tiles above the sink. The shower did not drain properly. Breakfast consisted of half sliced tomato, half sliced cucumber, 2 slices of cheese, olives, bread, tea or coffee. Very disappointing hotel.
