Beautiful boutique hotel with modern rooms and decor. Super comfortable beds and nice liquid soaps and shampoo for the shower. Very close to all the major attractions (Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, etc). Breakfast at the hotel was tasty and had a nice selection. I would stay here again.

A Great place - look no further

We had an amazing stay at Fer Hotel Istanbul for a few days — the perfect base for exploring the old town! The location couldn’t be better — you’re within easy walking distance of all the major sights like the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and Topkapi Palace. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained and very comfortable, with a real boutique feel. The breakfast was fantastic — plenty of delicious options to set you up for the day. Travel tip: Go for an internal room if you’re a light sleeper — they’re so quiet you can’t even hear the call to prayer. A peaceful retreat after a busy day in the city. Highly recommended — we’d definitely stay again!

Fer Hotel truly shines in several key areas, making it a tempting choice for travelers. The service from the majority of the staff was genuinely excellent. They were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel's convenient location is another major plus. Situated perfectly for exploring the city, it allowed for easy access to popular attractions, public transport, and a wide array of dining options, which significantly enhanced my visit. The facilities were also impressive, offering everything needed for a comfortable stay, from well-appointed rooms to communal areas that were both stylish and practical. However, my experience was unfortunately marred by some highly unprofessional practices. The most disruptive was being asked to change rooms in the middle of my stay. This was incredibly inconvenient and frankly, unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. It disrupted my settled routine and wasted valuable time unpacking and repacking. A notable design flaw is the screen separating the bathroom and bedroom. This screen featured many persistent, unsightly stains that detracted from the overall cleanliness and aesthetic of the room. Furthermore, the hotel's policy regarding payments was confusing and frustrating. They charged a deposit on top of the full hotel payment upon check-in, only to then void the charges upon checkout. While the deposit was eventually returned, this practice creates unnecessary...

Disappointed- A Poor Experience

We had stayed in this hotel last year and my stay was lovely and due to that I decided to return this year in May. Our bathroom had a constant smell of strong sewage. It got so bad within a few days that the smell travelled into the bedroom. I ended up having to go downstairs to use their toilets on the floor where the gym was located Extremely disappointed with this experience. I did raise this with the staff who are generally lovely and helpful but they couldn’t do anything and there justification was the following: FER is located in one of Istanbul’s most historic districts, where certain infrastructure-related issues—particularly involving the older sewage systems—may occasionally affect even modern establishments like ours, especially under certain weather conditions. Nevertheless, we take full responsibility for your discomfort and regret that we were not able to meet your expectations on this occasion. I did email the General Manager to escalate my complaint but she hasn’t bothered to reply even though I sent another email requesting that she kindly replies to my email! Such a shame as this hotel is in a great location.

Highly recommend the Fer Hotel. The staff is very kind, friendly, helpful. The breakfast is a great value and the hotel is within 2-3 blocks of all the tourist sites (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia). My room was spotless and the bed was comfortable.
