We were there for Independence day. When we checked in, we were asked if we wanted a view of the fireworks. This property is across the river from where the fireworks show is. We were within a 5 minute drive od downtown New Bern. Ver convenient location. Staff was great!

Decent place, however the pool was out of Order and the breakfast wasn’t being restocked well on Saturday. When requested The staff also Didn’t address the loud visitors at 10pm that ran up and down the hall screaming. The outside area near the old marina would benefit from clean up. The beach had so much animal poop you could not really walk on it.

The room and bathroom were clean and fresh. The TV worked well. There was a beautiful view out the window. Everyone there was very nice. The housekeepers did an excellent job as well as the front desk staff.

Requested the quietest room possible due to a surgical patient on board that would fair better with immediate sleep upon arrival. Also requested as early as possible check-in due to an earlier than expected surgery time assigned for the morning of check-in. Both requests were met and we couldn't have been happier!!

We drove into the parking lot and there are only 3 cars in the lot. That put up a flag there. We go in an hour before check in and she said that we would need to wait for an hour to check in. There was no one staying at the hotel! I have never seen anything like this in my travels. The 3 people that worked there were joking around at the front desk. I don't know what the hell was going on there, but we went to another hotel to stay and ate the $584 cost of this hotel. My wife and I both felt unsafe there as well.
