The Space:

The entire first floor of The Hearth is yours, private and self-contained.



The living room stops guests first. Oversized sofas and a deep blue Persian rug sit beneath a tray ceiling with an orb chandelier. The original double fireplace surround, the defining architectural feature of The Hearth and one of the standouts of this 1914 home, anchors the far wall.



The kitchen opens to the living area: stainless appliances, a quartz island with four bar stools, a drip coffee maker and Keurig both stocked and ready.



The primary suite has a king bed against a dark charcoal accent wall with designer linens, and its own private en suite through French glass doors: clawfoot soaking tub, walk-in marble shower with built-in niche and toiletry bottles, wide vanity, black framed round mirror.



The guest bedroom has two full beds with an exposed brick detail through the arched closet entry, original to the building. Second bathroom has a marble walk-in shower and matching amenities. Stacked LG washer and dryer in its own closet. Smart TVs in every room.



Bikes are available to rent locally for exploring the neighborhood. The front porch has a white swing, a great spot for slow mornings. The side deck with propane grill is private and exclusively The Hearth's. Ample front and side yard available for use, great for pets.



Guest Access:

Full private access to the entire first floor of The Hearth, your own front door on the covered porch, and self check-in via smart lock. The side deck with grill is exclusively The Hearth's.



The front porch and front and side yards are shared with The Canopy upstairs only and are available throughout your stay.



The Neighborhood:

Springfield is one of Jacksonville's most historic neighborhoods, this home dates to 1914, and one block away on Main Street you have some of the best eating and drinking in the city. Locals drive from across Jacksonville specifically to eat here.



1748 Bakehouse does seasonal pies and from scratch sandwiches made with local ingredients. Uptown Kitchen and Bar runs all day brunch and does it well. Othello is the standout: Spanish and Middle Eastern small plates from a chef trained at Gramercy Tavern in New York. Make a reservation before you arrive.



Strings Sports Brewery is walking distance, local beer and every game on. Dreamette has been serving legendary soft serve since 1948. Every November PorchFest brings bands to the historic front porches and thousands into the streets. The Hearth is steps from the festival route.



EverBank Stadium, VyStar Arena, Daily's Place, and the Florida Theatre are all 5 to 10 minutes by rideshare or pedicab, with free parking waiting at the house when you get back.



Getting Around:

Rideshare and pedicab are fast and easy in this neighborhood. Uber and Lyft arrive quickly. Pedicabs run on event nights.



Riverside and San Marco are 5 to 10 minutes by car. The beaches are 20 to 25 minutes east. Jacksonville International Airport is about 20 minutes north, faster than most parts of the city.



Parking is free street parking directly in front on a quiet residential street. A spot is almost always there.

Refund Policy



A 3.9% processing fee on refunds is non-refundable. Refunds will be the amount paid minus this fee, per Stripe's policy. This applies to direct booking and bookings made through select booking channels.



General Guidelines



●Pets: A pet fee of $75 applies per reservation for up to 2 pets. Bringing a pet without prior notification incurs an additional $100 fee, and we may end your stay early. No cats allowed. If your pet causes any damages, additional charges will incur to cover repair or cleaning costs.

●Garage Access: Not permitted due to liability. If applicable, garage doors must stay closed.

●Age Requirement: Primary guest must be 21+, with an adult over 21 present during the stay.

Food & Drink: No food or drink in bedrooms (closed water bottles allowed); extra cleaning fees for stains.

●No Smoking: Smoking of any kind is prohibited; $200 fine for violations. Additional charges will incur to cover repair or cleaning costs.

●Trash: Dispose of all trash in outside bins before departure.

●Damages: Report any damages within 24 hours of occurrence or immediately upon arrival. Failure to report damages could result in liability for repair or replacement costs.

●Dishes: Wash all dishes and run the dishwasher (if applicable) before leaving.

●Windows: Keep windows closed for security.

●Storage Closet: Keep this area closed and locked.

●Consumables: Leftover items are at your discretion; freshness is not guaranteed.

●Furniture: Do not rearrange.

●Parties & Events: Unauthorized parties are not allowed; violations will result in additional charges and immediate eviction.

●Only registered guests are permitted to stay at the property. If you would like to add extra guests beyond the number initially registered, please request approval before finalizing your booking. Any additional guests that exceed the maximum allowed at the property will incur an additional charge of $100 per person. This requires approval from us prior to booking.

●Illegal Activities: Will result in immediate eviction.

●Quiet Hours: 10pm to 7am. Please be respectful of neighbors.

Security Deposit: A fully refundable security deposit hold that's released after checkout, provided no damage or policy violations are found.
