Billy Goats Gruff / Beautiful mountainside hobby farm with gorgeous view
This is a 1500 square foot cabin sitting on just over 20 acres with all of the amenities of home. There are 2 large bedrooms both located upstairs. One has a king size bed and the other has 2 queens and a twin. The living room also has a full size pull out couch and a pocket door for privacy and with an attached bath, this room becomes a suite. The kitchen has ample room for gathering along with all of the cooking essentials. The large deck offers a great place for relaxing, playing a game of corn hole, grilling, and star gazing! We have a charcoal grill and grilling essentials for your use. There is a firepit along with cut wood and a hammock in the yard as well as a picnic table.
A small herd of goats freely roams the property keeping weeds and brush under control, while our chickens live a happy life free range pasturing during the daylight hours. Our 2 Great Pyrenees pups watch over the animals with a faithful eye and greet our guests with love!
**Details to note: While this is a beautiful mountainside spot that means getting up the mountainside. The driveway up is steep gravel with some rough spots which is par for the course in Newton County. Low-clearance vehicles are not recommended. AWD is advised but not strictly necessary, you can make it up in low gear.
Adorable cabin, great location for exploring the area!
The cabin is very clean and has a great set up. Plenty of space for a family. We adored the backyard area, what a magical place! The location is private and there is a great creek to explore. The road is as described and does require high clearance. We loved meeting the very well mannered herd dogs and didnât see the goats until the last morning when they walked out of the woods and hopped across the rocks in the backyard. We will be back!
We really loved the cabin. It was so well styled and stocked. The porch was our favorite spot. We enjoyed a fire and playing in the creek just down the road. One insight to share is that the slope up the drive can be daunting if you don't have 4WD and are not use to Northern Arkansas country roads. We were able to conquer it in our Kia Sedona, but it may not be great for more city friendly vehicles lol. The hosts were awesome and very helpful. Definitely recommend if looking for a pretty spot to enjoy sunsets and fireflies.
