March and Spring discounts available for a short time. The whales are super active right now and a great time to be here. The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach #370 has quickly become a guest favorite! A super cute 1-bedroom/2-bath condo with lovely ocean and garden views that overlooks the beautifully manicured courtyard and waterfall. The spacious lanai even offers views of the island Molokai while enjoying your morning coffee. The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated, as well as updated furnishings. The bedroom has a King bed and in the living room is a Queen Murphy-bed. This super cute unit is located on the 3rd floor for easy access to the BBQ area and pool. This condo is perfect for honeymoons, anniversaries and family vacations. Come enjoy this very special gem at Maui's favorite ocean front resort and discover why this has quickly becoming a guest favorite!

All units feature full kitchens, full baths, central air conditioning, free wi-fi and a large private lanai (balcony).

Check-in time 4:00pm; Check-out 11:00am

Our minimum stay is 4 nights and 7 nights during the Christmas/New Years holiday. However, we may approve shorter stays if they back up to an existing reservation. We will do our best do accommodate you.

You have the assurance of having an on-island manager with over 50 years of experience to make sure you have the very best vacation experience.

In addition, we provide a complimentary "Starter Kit" of supplies:
Paper towels, garbage bags, dish detergent, dishwasher detergent, new kitchen sponge with scrubber; several rolls of toilet tissue, kleenex, hotel-size bar soap, shampoo, and lotion. Daily housekeeping service is not included, but it can be added for an additional fee.

Daily Resort Fee: $35/day plus tax. This covers parking and all resort amenities and is payable upon arrival at the front desk.

Family vacation

I loved staying at The Whaler. I’ve stayed other places and they were fine too, but for walking convenience, you can’t beat it. This unit was perfect for the 3 of us. 2 bathrooms was a plus! The condo was clean and loved sitting on the balcony gazing at the view and watching the ocean and people. I will come back here for sure.

Great w/ inner courtyard partial ocean view

I have stayed in many condos at the Whaler and they don’t disappoint. This one is great too and would come back! It has been updated but not as well appointed as some where they invested more. For example the master bathroom. There are some huge, luxurious ones in some of the other 1 bedroom condos at the Whaler but this is more of a standard bathroom. That being said, it is a great condo and properly priced (it’s a little less expensive, I assume because location is set back and reno’s aren’t as luxurious and washer and dryer not in suite). No problem using the shared, free washer and dryer on the floor. Not in use whenever I wanted to use it, in suite there was laundry soap and front desk provided some for free also. Didn’t use the murphy bed so can’t comment on its comfort. The balcony is great and the view is lovely. Many suites don’t have the counter height table and chairs but this one does so when you are sitting at the table on that lanai you see over the railing whereas when standard height you are looking through the railings. Condo has two beach chairs and an high quality beach umbrella which was great. The inner courtyard and partial ocean view are lovely. I like that the lanai often provides shade because in the other tower it is almost always in the sun so hot and sun in your eyes. I head down to the beach for sunset so I like the trade off of a shady lanai after being out in the hot sun. Overall would come back to this condo at the Whaler and can recommend!

We were happy with the place for the most part. However, the pull down bed was too uncomfortable to sleep on. Had to sleep on the couch. Also, only enough toilet paper for 3 days in unit. Had to Uber to a grocery store buy more. That was an expensive trip for TP. They should at least have enough in the unit for your stay.

Perfect Location

This is my third time staying at the Whaler in Maui. The location is superb. We can walk to everything and are a short car ride from other spots. I was surprised that my unit didn’t at least have salt and pepper for cooking but it did have all the necessary utensils. We used the Murphy bed which had a blood stain on the mattress cover. Other than that, the place was pretty clean.

We LOVED staying at this condo! The view is spectacular and we watched the whales and birds. I would suggest perhaps provide more utensils and glassware. We had to continually do dishes and really wished not to. But we would stay here again!!!!

Great location and access to all

When we arrived the gal who greeted us at the front desk was a bit rude. I understand this is not something the vrbo has control over. We got there at 2:45 for a 3 pm check in. We were told to wait. Not, let me see if that room is ready. Give me five minutes. We came back at 3:15 to find out room had not yet been cleaned. Not a great first impression, but we understand things happen. We called to management and they got someone over right away. So again we have to find something to to before we could unpack. For our troubles the management offered a discount which we felt was very fair. It was just a bummer way to start vacation after a long morning of flying. The overall unit was nice and well equipped. The hot water did take an absurdly long time to get to the shower though. We loved staying in this location and would likely try to book again in the complex. We normally travel with our teenage kids -so this unit would not work for that. But it was a good size for the two of us. I would recommend staying here.
