It's a great place! Our suite had a nice (partial) ocean view. The rooms were spacious, clean and tidy. The kitchen had adequate utensils and cooking gadgets. The best was the beach right by the building. The Whaler Village was a few minutes walk and we enjoyed going there almost daily. The staff were mostly helpful and friendly, although once or twice you'd meet an impatient or unhelpful one. Also beware of all kinds of fees involved that when booking on Expedia, it wasn't made clear. Just to name a few: reservation processing fee, departure cleaning fee, credit card processing fee, and amenity fees, among others. So it might be helpful to spend some time researching these additional costs before booking your room.

The room was amazing and so was the staff. I ended up staying at 3 hotels on Kaanapali while I there due to extending our trip. Our week at The Whaler was unmatched. We kept saying the next time we come we will be staying at The Whaler the whole time. Thank you!!!!!

Great condo. Great location right next to Whaler’s Village and it’s beach restaurants and shops. No restaurants on the location or a swim up pool bar however. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and the concierge Elise was great.

I was in the waterfront suite and it was amazing. Wrap around balcony with a nice kitchen and living room area and two full bathrooms. Awesome ocean view and very close to shops and restaurants.

I absolutely loved my stay at The Whaler! From the moment I arrived, it truly felt like an all-inclusive resort — peaceful, welcoming, and full of aloha. My studio condo room was so clean and cozy, it honestly felt like home. I took full advantage of the gym and loved being just steps away from the ocean and Whalers Village. The staff here are fantastic — so kind, helpful, and genuine. You can tell they really care about making every guest feel comfortable. Every morning and evening felt special here, with the sound of the waves and the beauty of Kāʻanapali Beach right outside my door. I’m so grateful for the experience and I can’t wait to come back.
