Due to Maui's rural setting, you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don't kill them. Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Maui is in a tropical climate. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

Condo had all the appropriate supplies to cook and do light cleaning, beach chairs, cooler and umbrella were a plus along with the snorkeling gear. The location was great, you were away from the busy area. Nice quiet area, with easy access to restaurants and beaches. The bed was very comfortable. Nice heated pool, with plenty of lounge chairs that you move around when you wanted. We saw whales every day we were there for our 21 day stay. Watching the sea turtles from the sea wall was always fun to see. Sunsets were magnificent!

Spending time on the balcony was the best. You're so close can hear the waves. Everything we needed was provided. There was even folding beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler that came in handy.

Wonderful spot and comfortable condo

We loved this stay in Maui! From our lanai we saw whales multiple times daily, spotted a monk seal twice, watched a fisherman catch an eel, watched a local turtle swim several times and on our last night saw two small (harmless) sharks feet from the beach!The condo was great! Our only suggestion is for new beach chairs. Those provided were rusted and literally broken. We will stay here again!

Whales galore

Lovely unit that is no more than 25 feet from the breakwater. The constant waves breaking against it are soothing and invigorating.The unit is very well appointed with tons of beach equipment. The snorkeling right there is interesting. We saw turtles, and fish, as well as a daily show of tail and fin flaps spouts and several amazing breaches. Would stay again. Thank you for sharing your little slice of Aloha with us!

Great location for Couples

Decent 1 bedroom condo in a great part of Maui. We have stayed just down the beach at another complex many times when we bring our kids. This unit was a significant savings and suited our needs as a couple. Kitchen was well equipped and you cant beat the view. Great spot to watch the sunset!

The condo was nice with a few exceptions. The mattress on the bed really needs to be replaced. It was so uncomfortable that every morning we had woke up due to back pain. The shower door was obviously broken and replaced with a curtain. not a big deal but deceiving on the photos from website. Not enough containers in the cabinets for food service. The other really bad issue was the kitchen sink when turned on to full was a trickle of water. This made it so difficult to fill the coffee pot or wipe down the counters let alone washing any dishes by hand. We were only given 1 dish towel and wash rag for the whole 10 days. Not enough by any means. Would I stay in this unit again? Maybe if the above items were taken care of.

Great location & perfect for a trip to explore Maui

The unit & location was fantastic for exploring the west/north end of Maui. Very clean unit and great access to many beaches & coves for exploring. Only thing is the building is older, so sound travels from the floor above and neighboring units. Otherwise it was a great stay!

Well equipped unit however a few touch ups would helping paint and carpeting need care. Perfect view of whales spouting in the distance and sea turtles near the shore Best for sunrises and sunsets to enjoy Beach was swimable when calm .

Kahana Reef 221

Kahana Reef 221 was our paradise away from home during our stay on Maui. From the moment we saw the ocean view from our lanai, we were thrilled with the condo. The island décor throughout the unit added to the charm, and the full kitchen provided a place to prepare our own meals. We watched whales almost every day from the lanai, and enjoyed the beach and snorkeling in the warm waters. We often saw turtles along the sea wall. We absolutely loved our stay here, and will return again!

Loved the unit, view, access to the ocean and location. So many whales to see from the lanai - plus it's in the shade during the hottest part of the day - a plus for whale watching ( thank you for the use of the binoculars). Absolutely recommend!

Relaxing and awesome view

Property is quiet with no beach in front of condos. View is phenomenal. Only glitch is that the pocket door to the bathroom is stuck and does not close. (As you can imagine my wife was not too keen on that) Other than that, it was a great stay and location on west end of island was great.
