Beautiful 2 bedroom Ocean Front Building 1 at Kona Makai.

Come and enjoy our little Piece of Paradise in one the most beautiful complexes in Kona. Located just one mile south of the town of Kailua-Kona on Alii Drive. The unit, 1204, is on the second floor of building 1, the best building in the complex with ocean views from both sides.

In 2019 both bathrooms were completely remodeled. Walk-in shower in master bath, tub/shower combo in guest bath. New vanities and new fixtures throughout including new tile with new lighting. Master bathroom has a turtle theme and guest bathroom has a seahorse theme.

In May of 2020, our kitchen was completely remodeled. It received new tile floors, new cabinets, beautiful new quartz countertop, new microwave, range and dishwasher, washer/dryer combo unit, new lighting, and many more upgrades.

We also put vinyl plank flooring in living room, hallway and both bedrooms. The whole unit has a fresh coat of paint to go along with new custom window treatments.

Also new to the unit is the master bedroom set, sofa sleeper couch, coffee and end tables. (New dining room set and entertainment cabinet coming in March)

This has a fully equipped kitchen which includes a stove, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. The living room/dining room has a 48 inch flat screen TV with DVD player and cable TV. Seating for 4 at the indoor dining table and seating for 4 at the lanai table. The master bedroom has a deluxe king size bed with private bathroom and access to the lanai. Guest bedroom has 2 twin beds (which can be converted to one king size bed) with access to the second bathroom. Ocean view and sounds can be distinctively heard from both bedrooms. All towels and bed linens are provided as well as a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Unit has 6 beach chairs, 4 beach mats, 2 boogie boards, 4 beach towels, cooler, games, puzzles and Hawaii Travel Guide book. The complex has a communal library for your use. The unit has air conditioning in each bedroom and living room. It also has 6 ceiling fans and 3 tower fans to keep the air moving for your comfort. Free wifi is provided in the unit. Beautifully landscaped complex has a swimming pool with salt water system, hot tub, tennis courts, ping pong, 2 exercise rooms and oceanfront gas barbeque grills and dining area. Free parking for your car with security gate at night. Watch sunsets from your lanai or when you're feeling more social go down to the ocean seating where others gather daily to socialize and enjoy a beverage. Kona Makai has everything you need to enjoy your Hawaiian getaway located near restaurants, shopping, the farmers' market, parasailing, jet ski and longboard rentals and whale watching. 2 1/2 miles south on Alii Drive is Kahalu'u Beach with some of the islands best snorkeling. Make this a vacation you'll always remember!

We had a great stay in Building 1 at the Kona Makai. We have stayed in this complex several times over the years and enjoy the views of the ocean from the lanai. The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed from the well appointed kitchen and baths to enjoying a day at the beach. Great communication with the owners. Unit was easily accessible. We would gladly return.

En general todo muy bien, lo que si, muy mal equipada en cuanto a bolsas de basura, detergente y esas cosas, estuvimos 15 dĂ­as y tuvimos que comprar, y ademas luego nos cobran por aseo, querĂ­an que dejĂĄramos todo impecable y estuvimos 15 dĂ­as pagando bastante.

Perfect for Ironman

The location of the home was perfect for IM. 15 min walk and we were at the start. Also a great location to watch the run. Home was very nice. Great A/C. We used the kitchen for breakfast, kitchen had the basics that we needed. Tech within home worked well in the gathering areas of the home.Thanks for sharing your home, especially during Ironman week.

Perfect for our stay

We arrived to welcoming island music. The condo is very nice with island decor. Beautiful view from both bedrooms and lanai. Did not need to use the air conditioner a lot. Bedding was comfortable. Perfect for adults not wanting to be around loud parties.

Relaxing stay in Kona area

This two bedroom condo is perfect for parents with kids or a few friends. The location is awesome. Located on the ocean side of the main street, but due to the design of the complex it feels secluded. The complex is gated, the unit is on the second floor, and is easily accessed. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is clean and adequately equipped. The complex pool and gas barbecues are nearby. Both are cleaned daily. The entire complex has beautiful landscaping and the views of the ocean are incredible. Sunsets every night are majestic and are the only time we noticed a crowd at the complex. The management team is super responsive and informative. I would highly recommend this location. Thank you for a wonderful week in paradise.

Wonderful Big Island Condo

This condo is amazing and in a great location. My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights and loved every minute of it. The interior of the unit is immaculate and is stocked with everything you need. Daybreak and sunset on the lanai is special and shouldn't be missed. The grounds of the complex are well kept and quiet. We especially liked the BBQ area, which is right by the water. We'll be back for sure!

What a wonderful home base for our visit to Kona! Close to so many restaurants, shops and beaches. It was also centrally located for trips to Green Sand Beach and Waikoloa. We loved it!

Perfect and clean!

This condo was extremely clean, updated and fully stocked with anything you might need including all kitchen/cooking supplies, beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, and boogie board. Greg and Wendy were excellent to work with and their communication was always quick and effective. The management company does an excellent job of maintaining the property and pool. We were here for the Ironman and the location was excellent. You could easily walk or drive to the pier/downtown area or explore nearby beaches. We had this placed reserved over 2 years ago due to Ironman being canceled twice for Covid. Greg and Wendy always honored and moved our reservation forward to the next rescheduled date. In the weeks leading up to the race, we had heard many people having their reservation canceled last minute and left without accommodations. Greg and Wendy were in constant communication and verified our reservation. I cannot thank them enough for keeping our anxiety at bay and sharing their wonderful place with us. Highly recommend.

The condo is updated and very clean. It has everything you need in the kitchen and to go to the beach. Good location but found it beneficial to have a car. Great views of the sunset from the lanai. If you are looking for a laid back and quiet vacation spot this is a good option.
