We stayed at Casa 134 for the month of February! We love staying at Casa especially for the warm friendly atmosphere. The common area is a great place to meet other people staying there. You are always welcome to join in on a conversation or just sit and look out to the beautiful ocean hoping to catch a whale sighting.Our unit had been tastefully renovated with beautiful new appliances, comfortable furniture and all the kitchen equipment you would need to make you feel right at home.Our favorite was the great roomy bathroom with the huge rain showerhead. You will enjoy a great night sleep with a new very comfortable mattress.Everything has been thoughtfully put together to make for a wonderful vacation,

Great location

The room had a terrible smell, like mold, found 3 dead cockroaches, (which should have been cleaned up before we checked in) also, a swimsuit was hanging on one of the doors that was left from the people before us, just made me question how well that place was cleaned before we came???? One of the walls in the bathroom had mold on it. The fan did not work, the kitchen had outlets that did not work as well. They don’t provide toilet paper or paper towels so make sure you bring some.

Perfect for 2 adults. Peaceful. Not crowded. This unit is very close to the ocean. We enjoyed the manmade beach area and pool. The unit is well stocked with towels, kitchen supplies. It was a quick drive to many restaurants.

Perfect for couples

Very nice apartment for couples. The property is excellent, with a nice BBQ area, cosy "beach" ( sand area with lounge chairs) and a very nice saltwater pool. The apartment itself is smallish but more than enough for a couple. The lanai is very nice for both breakfast and dinner. Good value for money.

Beautiful view and attractive grounds

We loved staying on the ocean front amid so many flowers and birds. We enjoyed the two pools, fountain, and ocean waves. The attractive condo complex and gated parking were appreciated. The condo was in good repair and all the appliances worked well. We assume carpet and AC are on their list for routine maintenance as they seemed to be on top of everything else. The WIFI was met all of our needs. There were plenty of towels, the kitchen was well stocked, and the water was hot and strong.

Great stay

Molly was a great owner to deal with, her response time to any requests was always timely. She kept us up to date on everything especially with COVID around,, even telling us there was a broken drawer she couldn't get the parts to repair in time.. before our stay.. There were no surprises. Truly an amazing host.. The property was wonderful, a great location, right on the water, with 2 pools and its own small beach. The sunset from the property was amazing with a small nightly ritual from a Tennant. The property had all the amenities for a family, couple, group. The condo was a small one bedroom condo, clean. comfortable and perfect for any couple traveling to Kona. Will stay again on our next trip. Mahalo Molly...and Aloha

The complex and location is amazing! Hands down, no regrets. Love the salt water pool. The unit itself is nice, needs a few updates. Broken drawers, broken shower head, and a little outdated. All in all it was worth it.

Relaxing Oasis

Molly's place was a perfect location. Close to the action of downtown, but peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Molly was a great host. When we had a slight issue after checking in, she remedied the situation quickly. The saltwater pool was a huge bonus. Parking was never an issue and her home was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities needed if you wanted to cook. We would absolutely stay here again!

The Casa is the perfect location for exploring up and down the west coast, and 134 is the perfect condo for stepping out to the beach, pool and bbq. Nice view from the lanai.

The worst unit I've ever stayed at in Casa De Emdeko

The overall unit was dirty. Every dish had to be washed. The carpet was so dirty we could not walk on it with bare feet. Many things were broken or not hooked up. Blinds had to be left in the open position because the mechanism was broken. (privacy & security issue) There was a tub of water under the sink where the sink was leaking. All TV's cords were not connected to TV's or the outlets. Drawers were broken in kitchen. We were left little to no supplies (TP, paper towels, dish soap, body soap, garbage bags) The cleaning lady came 1 week into our 2-week stay (at night) and even after saying we were there entered into the unit. (security issue) The phone rang daily. When we finally answered it, it was her pharmacy indicating she had a RX ready. When I ask the housekeeping staff, they said the lady lived there. A lot of personal items were there. The internet PW we were given didn't work. The beach towels were old, faded & raggedy. We reported these issues to VRBO but got nowhere. We submitted pictures and called repeatedly. VRBO is totally unresponsive. We paid a premium price and got a disgusting place. Once your in Hawaii, you dont have a lot of choices. I was with the man I loved, and that was all I needed.

Loved Our Stay

My spouse and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa de Emdeko #134. Molly, the owner, is a gracious and kind host and we enjoyed our interactions with her from start to finish. The condo is in an excellent location right on the ocean (no beach). It’s about 1 1/2 miles from downtown Kona and close to many amenities (shopping, restaurants, etc...). In the front parking lot is a great little convenience store that we used several times. The condo was pristinely clean when we arrived. It’s also well-appointed with just about everything one would need for a stay. The bed is quite comfortable, there are TVs in both the living room and the bedroom, the condo features a full-sized kitchen with all items needed for cooking, and the living room features a very comfortable couch and two rattan swiveling chairs. The view from the condo patio is quite lovely and you’re just steps away from the complex beach and salt water pool in this unit. I especially appreciate the number of towels supplied - both for bath and beach. Often condo owners supply a very limited number of towels, but Molly has stocked her linen closet very well. We especially appreciated having the A/C in the condo, which does a great job of cooling the condo down during hot afternoons. The condo is extremely quiet and peaceful - no problems with noise! The complex itself is quite beautiful and very well maintained. Clearly the management takes great care in keeping up the property. There are two pools, several garden areas, and plenty of secured parking. This is also the first time we’ve been on the islands where we weren’t dealing with bugs inside the condo so they obviously keep up with extermination quite well. Some have mentioned that this is an older complex in need of some updating. I would agree, but we didn’t find the condition to be objectionable at all. Molly’s condo is lovely, but the bathroom and kitchen could use a little updating. The shower head, especially, could be replaced as it’s quite clogged and the spray is limited as a result. Beach equipment (chairs, cooler, etc...) is not supplied with this condo so tenants will have to rent equipment if spending much time at the beaches. As mentioned above, Molly does supply many beach towels which were greatly appreciated! Also note that there is no laundry in the rental, but there is a nice laundry room that is either coin or smart phone operated. Overall, a lovely stay and a place we would stay again!

Relaxing Vacation Spot

Molly's unit at Casa De Emdeko was just what my husband and I needed. It is spacious for 2 people, has all of the amenities you would want at your own home and is cozy. The bed was comfortable and the AC was the perfect amount of cold after being in the hot sun all day. We loved the ocean view from the patio and that we were so close to the salt water pool, sandy beach and lounge chairs provided on the property. Our stay was wonderful. We would like to stay here again and will be recommending it to family and friends too.
