Living like a local

If you want luxury, go to Waikaloa. If you want to feel like you are privileged to stay in Kona like a local, this is the place. The condo is so well appointed: equipped beach closet, lanai dining, upper deck bbqs with great views, kitchen supplies were perfect. The furniture is beautiful, comfortable and lets you never forget you’re on vacation in Kona! The pool seemed small until we got in it: we were always the only one’s in it. It is quiet and peaceful. We didn’t rent a car, we were content to walk everywhere: grocery, ali’i drive, restaurants, beach, shopping. Lyfts and taxi were easy. It comes with a free parking space, our friends spent 25 and 50 a day for their parking. Katt communicated every detail and was very responsive to all questions. This is an affordable, well above average Kona condo. We will tell all of our Alaska friends that this is the place! Mahalo!

Great place, nice location

Condo is as described in the listing. Great place to explore the Island from. The closest beach is about a 10 minute walk away, many restraunts and a farmers market within walking distance. Only drawback is the living room furniture is not very comfortable, but didn't spend much time there anyways.

Wonderful place to stay in Kona

Very nice condo. We enjoyed our stay very much. Short walk to numerous shops and restaurants with the ocean all along the route. The owner left numerous containers of coffee plus cream in the fridge. We definitely would want to stay there if we come back to Kona.

Quiet Condo

Beautiful decor, just as pictured on website. All the amenities and some little extras. Complex is very quiet despite being close to Ali'i Drive! Good communication with owner thru out our stay. Yoga studio on the back street.. great location! Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic condo in the heart of Kona!

My husband and I stayed here for a week and this condo was perfect for our needs, and the best vacation rental we've ever stayed at in Kona (we've stayed in a few). Katt, the owner, communicated details perfectly and has included a lot of extras that really made our stay even more enjoyable, and easier. The condo was very clean, very close to grocery shopping, restaurants, and beaches. We'd love to come back some time!

This place has it all! It was centrally located next to lots of shopping, food, beaches and the harbors for water exertions. We stayed here for 6 nights. Katt was amazing to work with from the time our reservation was made and throughout our stay. She was quick to respond with any questions we had.

Great location in the heart of Kona

We stayed here 17 nights while I was working remotely during the weeks and on “vacation” on the weekends. This unit has been renovated and it’s pleasant to stay here. There was plenty of internet bandwidth for video conferencing or streaming Netflix, Hulu, etc with your own Roku or Fire TV. Probably the best thing about this unit is the location. There are tons of restaurants and bars within a short walk. There’s even beaches and snorkeling within reach without driving. Summary: Pros - - great location right by the 200 year old church. - bbq grill on the fourth floor with a great view of the water and the church. We used this almost daily for lunch and only saw another person once. (We grilled for lunch on Pacific time so it was around 9am). - recently renovated unit with nice bathroom and kitchen - the owner is VERY responsive and was amazing to work with the few times we experienced minor issues. - the unit is nicely equipped with all the kitchenware and bathroom supplies most people would need. - central air in this unit is much better than window A/C units that only cool one room and are noisier. The central air went out twice during our stay but the owner was able to get the condo complex to fix quickly both times. Cons: - there’s really no view from this unit. I mention this because for this price range a view of the ocean is available. A colleague of mine stayed in another Kona Plaza unit in the same floor and had a decent view for about $40 less per night (his unit was otherwise not as nice, however). - if you are working remotely, you may need to supply your own desk and office chair as the furniture in the unit is not really suitable for this purpose. It was no big deal for me as I keep an office chair and folding table (I use for a desk) in offsite storage between trips. - water pressure in the shower could be a bit stronger, but it was not too bad. - small main TV (for the space) that was difficult to view in the daylight. No big deal because who goes to Hawaii to watch TV? But I mention because it’s an easy fix. - no tv in the bedroom. Again no biggy, but an easy fix and available in most other units at this price point.

Beautiful condo; great location

The unit was 1 bdrm condo, full kitchen, washer/dryer. Beautifully furnished with all the amenities you could ask for. Especially appreciated the artwork and lighting.

Best of Kona Condo Living

This is a lovely well maintained and very comfortable condo centrally located in the heart of Kona town, yet set back away from the noise and crowds. Parking is safe and convenient, underground in the basement of the building. The owners were wonderful, and literally went out of their way to accomodate us.

We loved the condo

The condo was beautiful. It is actually much better than the photographs. The location couldn’t have been better. It was right in the middle of shopping and many restaurants but very quiet. The ocean is across the street. Katt was wonderful. We can’t compliment this condo and its owner enough. A great holiday and so much to do in Kona.
