Kona Alii Condo with Ocean, Sunset, Mountain and Town Views

Located in the heart of Kailua Kona, this special retreat makes it easy to enjoy the day and night life of Kona town. With restaurants and shops within a few steps of the front door, it is also an ideal launching point for day trips to state and national parks, and the Big Island’s beautiful beaches.

This roomy 7th floor, two-level condo comfortably sleeps 4 adults plus children. The first floor features a master suite with king-sized bed and full bath, a second full bath with washer/dryer, a fully equipped kitchen and a queen-sized Murphy bed in the large great room. This room opens to a lanai with town and ocean views. Upstairs is a large, recently remodeled master suite with a king-sized bed, bathroom and sitting area. Outside the door is a large, newly renovated lanai with ocean and mountain views. Great for morning coffee, sunbathing or afternoon cocktails. Absolutely no smoking or vaping of any substance is tolerated on Kona Ali’i property.

This is the 4th time we've stayed in this building but the first time in this unit. The 7th floor is the only level with lanai's on both sides.We enjoy watching sunrises and sunsets from the lanai's.The location allows easy walking to most of Alii Drive including the pier.The building is very secure with covered parking.We didn't use the pool but it's very large and clean. We used the grills regularly. The condo was well equipped including beach supplies. Lisa brought us 2 additional beach chairs and a flashlight we requested. When we couldn't get the TV working Lisa came right over and helped get it on. We did need to do some cleaning upon arrival but we had a couple of clean freaks staying.Beds are very comfy and there are plenty of towels and beach towels. While the building is a bit dated, overall it's clean,safe and hard to beat for a great Kona location.

We have stayed in condos in the Kona Alii for the past four years. The location can't be beat, within walking distance of everything. This condo had everything we needed for our stay. It was very clean; the kitchen was well stocked including the Keurig for making yummy Kona coffee. Lisa, our host, was easy to contact and quickly replied to emails and texts. She brought additional beach chairs to us to accommodate everyone in our group. We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone.

Great value. We had stayed at the Hyatt Regency oceanfront on Maui the week before and paid more than double for a one room hotel. This property is obviously older and much of the ocean view was blocked by the front of the building, but it served our family well. great location. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom are first class. Then lower bathroom is just a tub with a shower and curtain. The amenities were great and even had a grill for me to do pancakes for my grandkids. Overall it Was a great value. Owner was gracious and helpful.

Lisa is a gracious, outstanding host--fast response, great advice, and unbelievably thoughtful. It felt more like I was staying at a friend-of-a-friend's place and not a rental at all. The condo is also incredibly well kitted out--plenty of beach needs (several snorkel kits w/fins, 2 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, and several boogie boards, as well as plenty of beach towels), a very, *very* well-appointed kitchen, and astoundingly comfortable beds with high thread count Egyptian cotton linens. We definitely noticed the details and appreciated them. I could go on for a lot longer, but you should stop reading my comments and simply book this unit if it suits your needs and dates. You won't be disappointed with the location, the unit, or the hosts.

The beach view and parking were ok. The condo was not real clean - kitchen floor, hall bathroom floor, light switches were dirty, and every knife I tried to use from the butcher block was dirty. I attribute this to the cleaning staff. The hall bath shower door doesn't stay closed, and the pumps on most of the shampoos, conditioners, body washes and lotions did not pump. Just as a heads up - we had to call EMS for one of our guests, and the fire department said they didn't have a key to the lobby to get in to help people. My husband had to go let them in. This could be a real problem for anyone that is alone there that needs emergency services. And the upstairs smoke alarm atarted chirping so we removed the battery, which will need to be replaced.

This was our 5th time staying in this building, and we love the location. This unit, like the others we’ve been in, has a lanai on 2 different levels, always have sun or shade. Everything we needed was there, towels, water gear, and full spice cabinet!

Amazing stay, amazing location, amazing host!

The property was beautiful, in a fantastic location in the heart of Kailua-Kona with access to amenities and the ocean right in front. We were treated to lovely sunsets from the balcony. Lisa is such a kind and welcoming host and made our stay memorable. She is also very responsive and communication was easy. The home is clean, neat, and fresh, and had all the necessities and more that came in handy on a trip to Hawaii. Thank you so much, and I hope to stay here again in the future!

Where to begin - absolutely perfect stay!

Lisa was one of the best hosts I’ve worked with over the years (on various platforms). She was responsive and provided helpful information throughout the process. Lisa communicated about the check in process, notified us about building maintenance and provided useful information about the area. The unit was clean, spacious & well-stocked. Usually, we stop at the rental to see what we need from the store. This visit, we needed only to pick up fresh produce & proteins because the condo had spices, cooking oils, utensils, and storage containers. The beds were very comfortable. There were 2.5 bathrooms, including a washer/dryer in the hall bath on the main floor. Loved this since we had a week on another island afterwards and it allowed us to start with clean clothes again. We were worried that the main floor bedroom didn’t have a/c, but there was a fan (?) over the door that directed cool air into the room. We had no issues with overheating during our stay. The main floor lanai was huge and had plenty of space to relax as well as to eat meals while watching the sunset. The upstairs lanai was perfect to watch the sunrise over the mountain each morning. We had 2 people working remotely for a week. Neither of us had any issues with the internet. My son worked at the desk in the living room. There was even a monitor there that he used. I worked upstairs & used the TV as my second monitor. Out of characters, but we loved our stay & hope to return again soon. Thank you, Lisa!

Perfect Location

We stayed for 10 days over the Ironman. I've used VRBO for many vacations and Lisa was the best host I've encountered on the platform! Extremely responsive to communication, was willing to go out of her way to allow us to ship something to her home that she delivered to the condo, and traded parking spots as the spot she gave us was slightly easier to get into and out of with a large SUV. The condo is excellent. It is fully stocked with everything you could want or need during your stay. The views are great, the sundeck (upper Lanai) was relaxing, and it was perfectly located off Ali'i. Convenient walking to tons of stores, restaurants and nightlife. The 2 king beds and the queen murphy bed were all very comfortable, and not-pictured, the upstairs was renovated to have a full 3rd bath. We're putting this one on our list for a return trip!

Great place for families

We recently stayed at this condo and we really enjoyed our visit to the big island. The place is well-stocked, is centrally located and was a few minutes walk to some nice restaurants & shops. This vacation spot is very centrally located in Kailua. Excellent communication from the owners for everything there. The place is ideal to get to restaurants, the pier, groceries, etc. Spotlessly clean, modern appliances, lots of ocean gear available, beautiful view of sunsets from the balcony. Beautiful pool on location. Can’t say enough good things.

Paradise found

We had an amazing 10 day visit at Kona Alii. The location can’t be beat for enjoying all the fun on Alii Drive. The kitchen was fully stocked and we had everything we needed for beaching and enjoying the lovely pool. We had excellent communication with the manager who responded in a very timely manner.

Everything was perfect! This place was just as stated. It was clean and had everything needed for cooking and a verycomfortable stay. It is located just a short walk away from all sorts of shopping. Family Vacation in Kona

I loved the location of this condo. You are minutes from restaurants and shops. It had plenty of room for me, my husband, and our two adult children. Lisa had everything I needed in the condo. We cooked several times throughout our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Lisa’s property!

The listing was exactly as described and as other reviewers have said the unit it very nicely appointed with all of the things you need to enjoy your home away from home and then some! This condo was possibly the best stocked one I’ve ever stayed in, in terms of kitchen supplies, toiletries etc. The beds were super comfortable and the AC’s actually worked (which can be hard to find in rental condos in HI) The space is thoughtfully laid out so that even tho we had 5 adults and a two year old it never felt over crowded or cramped. Communication with the owner was pleasant and efficient, we would definitely use the space again when coming back to Kona with the family!

Perfect Stay

This is the second time we stayed in this unit, and both times have been perfect. The unit was impeccably prepared for our stay: very clean, a welcome basket, well stocked of the necessities, combined with a perfect location. The location was right on Ali'i Drive so it was easy walking to 15+ restaurants and numerous shops. While this unit is on Ali'i Drive it is on the backside of the building. It still had great views but it was away from the traffic noise and the intensity of the afternoon sun. On top of that, the communication with the owners was excellent and they were willing to go the extra mile to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. On our next visit I have already told the owners that this unit will be our number one choice of where to stay. So, if you want a perfect stay on the Big Island, this is it!!
