What's nearby:
Both Magic Sands Beach and Pahoehoe Beach Park are just one mile away from this condo. Lyman's (a great surfing spot) is just under a half mile away in the same direction. If you're feeling hungry, local take-out favorite Da Poke Shack with its famously fresh tuna is less than a block away from the condo. Of course, One Aloha Shave Ice Co. is a must-visit for something sweet, just three miles from the condo. Kona is also famous for the coffee, so consider heading about 11 miles south to tour farms like Sacred Grounds or the Kona Coffee Living History Farm (the only living history coffee farm in the United States), where tour guides teach guests about Kona coffee in character.

The views are spectacular, the room very comfortable. So many things to do and everyone was very friendly. I have enjoyed it so much I really don’t want it to end here, but we have another island to go to.

Amazing views, perfect location

We’ve been to this island several times but our first time at Kona Bali Kai. The building shows a little age but the views and location are unbeatable. The condo was well suited for us, top floor, we actually appreciated the lack of AC as we had screen doors and fans to keep it cool and enjoy the sound of the ocean for 10 days & nights. Easy parking, good BBQ access (although the BBQ’s could use a little love-clean and plenty of propane but one burned super slow and 2 were turbo blasters!) Good responsiveness from the prop managers VaCasa when the front screen door didn’t work on our arrival and was fixed the next morning. Some beach gear avail but kinda showed some wear and we had to buy beach chairs but hopefully the next visitors will enjoy them! Overall, a real winner that we will be pleased to return to in the future.

Excellent stay!

Overall, we loved our stay here. The Lanai overlooking the ocean makes this place a true gem! The best sunsets, surfers, boats, turtles and fish in the tide pools below. There is no AC here, but all the fans and the screen doors open made it very comfortable. The sound of the ocean is literally all you can hear. This place is quiet and calm. We loved our stay. We had just a few minor issues and Vacasa was very responsive. I had heard negative things about Vacasa, but we had a great experience with them. The complimentary laundry pods and Hawaiian snacks were a nice touch. We will be back!

You cannot get a better view from a balcony. The open and sunset is right there! The condo was clean and well furnished. 5 min. drive to restaurants. Code to get in was hard to use.

Best View Ever

About 40' from the shoreline, with sweeping views. To the left we watched surfers, who were there from before sunup to after sundown. Saw whales out front. Fabulous sunsets. We ate takeout for dinner each night on the lanai, because no restaurant had a better view than we did. Because there is no beach (see host's photo of lava rocks), there isn't a beach full of sunbathers in front of you. Dine inside or out on the lanai.Everything was modern and in good shape (except the sliding screen, which needs some WD 40), with many wonderful features: comfortable bed, comfortable lanai chairs for sitting and gazing at the ocean, and well-equipped kitchen. Many small helpful small features: grab bars in the bathrooms, marble tile shower floor (which are not slippery), coffee bean grinder, ice maker, toaster, microwave, blender, wine bucket (we used it twice), nightlights, coffee maker with filters (and the first day's Kona coffee), among many small features.

Perfect location & accommodations

This condo on the 4th floor had the most amazing view of the ocean enabling us to enjoy spectacular sunsets every evening. We had everything we needed, and the bed and couch were comfortable. We also appreciated the full size body wash, shampoo & conditioner as well as the extra towels. Also, the location was very convenient, close to several beaches, markets, and restaurants. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

Beautiful Kona location

Can’t beat the location of this property/unit; right on the water, lovely large lanai to enjoy both early morning coffee (and surfers) and gorgeous sunsets in the evening. Loved being on the 4th floor and leaving our sliders open to hear the surf. The unit has had some renovations, the kitchen is upgraded and well stocked, the two bathrooms have new tile showers and vanity counters. Not a fan of carpet in rentals, if I was really being picky I would say that it was not nice in the bedroom. Didn’t use the pool but many in the complex did and seemed to enjoy. The only complaint I would have was the community bbq, only two of the burners worked so only used it the one time. Would I stay again, absolutely!

Fabulous oceanfront property

Although unit was a little dated, we enjoyed the spectacular views and location of this property. It is truly oceanfront!! We enjoyed amazing sunsets every night. The lanai was well equipped with table, chairs and lounge chairs (all padded). We also loved that there were beach umbrellas, beach chairs, towels and mats. There was also snorkel equipment which we did not use. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, pots, pans, and utensils, but be aware that there is nothing else such as condiments etc. just buy what you need for your stay. There is a coffee maker with some coffee to start out with, but you will need to buy that also. We loved that there is a washer/dryer and dishwasher with complementary detergent pods. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!! We will definitely be back!!!
