Summer Deal Oceanfront Kona Vacation Townhome with Pool and Sports Courts

Come soak in the Kona ocean views in this two bedroom, two bathroom townhome. Keauhou Surf and Racquet club is located on the south end of the iconic Alii Drive in a quiet area.

This two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo has an open layout with living area and large lanai. Relax at home and cook your meals in the fully stocked kitchen or dine al fresco out on your lanai, with your own grill.

The guest room can sleep four guests and has bunk beds. There are two bunk beds that have full beds on the bottom and twin beds on top. Great for a large family or kids.

The guest bathroom is located in the hallway with a bathtub, shower combination.

The primary bedroom has a king bed, with a lovely view to the ocean. Enjoy have your private bathroom with a tiled shower. You have private lanai access and can relax.

You can start and end each day with a short stroll to the oceanfront access, the pool, tennis court, pickleball court, volleyball court, ping pong, or the grill/picnic pavilion area if you're in the mood to BBQ. If golf is your passion, it's literally next door.

Keauhou Kona Surf and Racquet is located on Alii Drive close to shopping, restaurants, and the famous Kona Farmer's Market. You will be 1.5 miles from Magic Sands beach and Pahoehoe Beach Park. Shoreline access to the oceanfront is available in the complex along with multiple beach locations within a mile or two in each direction. Very nice spot. Great views. Easy access to amenities. Only upgrade i would recommend is putting a vacuum in the unit so we could help keep it clean.

To start, we are pretty easy people to satisfy, no high standards and sadly this unit was disappointing. The unit served the purpose but was very run down. The kitchen was poorly stocked, one baking sheet, one dish cloth and only two kitchen towels to mention just a few things. Barely enough towels for a family of 5 for showering/bathing. King bed was comfy but bunks were not as the mattresses were sinking and any movement cause loud squeezing. The sliding glass doors were a beast to open and close as were the sliding screens, which were broken so bugs could get in. There were tiny little bugs crawling all over the counters and dresses. Didn’t really bother us but wasn’t nice to see. Would have loved to have had some functioning tools to clean the floors during our stay but sadly even the dust pan was crap! Positives; view was amazing especially for sunsets and the whole Surf and Racquet club grounds were very nice as was the pool.

Great Location

Overall the condo was fine, it had been updated in the last 10 years but it really needs some basic maintenance. Unit lacked usable broom, dust pan, vacuum, broken blender, and basic cleaning supplies (nothing to sanitize counters and floors after the ants and cockroaches, no laundry detergent). Oven bake mode did not work but we were able to use convection bake. Screen doors and sliders are very difficult to open and close. King size bed was very comfortable and you can’t beat the view.

The property is just o.k. It served the purpose we needed for our stay in Kona. The unit could use some serious updating though. The furniture is all quite worn. While it provides a good number of beds, some of the beds are quite squeaky. There are places on a couple of the walls where it appears that pictures (or something similar) were hanging that are no longer there...but the nails that once held them up are still in the walls. The location is great and it is in a great community. The unit does have a spectacular view on the patio. The furniture on the patio is quite nice, but the counter space on the patio looks like it is about to fall over...so we didn't even think about putting anything on it. Overall, an o.k. place to stay...but don't expect anything exceptional.

Location is Amazing, Condo disappointing..

First I must say Coldwell Banker Island Management Company were excellent to deal with. They quickly sent out maintenance for fridge issues and corrected the problems that they could. Unfortunately this unit was disappointing. We were a group of 19 that rented 4 condos in the KKSRC. This unit was by far the most expensive and had the most issues. The views from the lanai were gorgeous and the location of KKSRC is amazing, close to an incredible snorkel beach and short drive to white sand beaches. Downside... the condo itself needs a lot of TLC. Lots of wear and tear, broken screens, torn weather stripping which made locking the door difficult, cabinets hanging on hinges. It was okay if you want ocean front but nothing fancy. Poorly stocked with no coolers, limited dishes and other things you may need on vacation. It was clean and beds were comfortable, but in the future would probably pick a different condo in the KKSRC.

Neglected unit - beware

A beautiful setting and great view of the ocean. We appreciated the covered lanai to eat during a rain storm. The problems are with the neglected unit. the door is warped and the lower door jam is coming out so easy to trip. The owner failed to pay the electric bill and we were without power for most of a day. There are ripped screens, screen doors that don't lock or can't get open, a cupboard door coming off it's hinges, broken floor fan. The instructions for working the door lock were wrong so we couldn't get in. I wouldn't stay in this unit ever again. The property managers did respond to us but who wants to keep calling about problems ?!
