We only stayed overnight so

Our party was moved to another location due to overbooking. Our party was 6 adults. 4 of them got rooms. We did not. They told us it’s not their responsibility due to 3rd party booking. They did this to others while we were waiting for a room at their sister hotel. Front desk workers were very rude and didn’t care if we had a room or not. We booked these rooms in January and suddenly they were overbooked? We are not happy and should be rein versed for our rooms. Very unhappy with the situation.
