It wasnât great to begin with, and then the furnace stopped workingâŠThe home is not a good repair. The front steps are cracked and broken, and the inside shows a similar level of neglect. Dining room chairs have missing parts of the back, the table is stained with water marks, lamp covers are beat up, vinyl floors are separating, outlets are missing cover plates, and vents in bathrooms are not properly attached.In the kitchen, there was a variety of pots and pans, but all seemed pretty worn out. There were plenty of knives, but only 4 forks.Additionally, I am pretty sure that the basement bedroom does not meet fire code, as it does not have an egress window.When the furnace went out on the evening of our second night, I called the host, and he offered to move us to one of several other properties. While some of the homes didnât have the location or number of bedrooms needed for our group, based on the way the current property was kept, our group wasnât eager to go to another property and found a hotel instead. Host was willing to refund the non-tax/service fee part of the last two nights, but not any of the cleaning fee.
