Old 1930s cottage nestled in the stunning historic Karangahake Gorge hamlet. With open views to Mt Karangahake.
Fully equiped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave etc. TV with chromecast, DVD player and freeview. Free wifi. Heat pump and woodburner.
Hot tub, outdoor area, children's play area.

3 mins walk to the Karangahake reserve swingbridge and historic goldmining walks.

For children there is a play area up at the Karangahake School just a few minutes walk. Access only outside of school hours.

Rail trail cycleway 5 mins walk. Falls Retreat restaurant and Waikino Tavern restaurant 5 mins drive. Waihi Beach 20 mins drive.

Supermarkets, fastfood, restaurants, etc in Paeroa 5 mins drive and Waihi 10mins drive.

Whangamata Beach 40min drive.

This was a favorite space of everyone in my family! The indoor space was fantastic, and I loved the hot tub. The sun room! I just loved spending the rainy evening curled up in the sun room reading a book. My sons enjoyed the provided board games, everyone slept well, and we all loved the quirky fun decor. The host was super responsive and wonderful.

We loved the vintage decor and the cottage was super cute. There was a friendly cat that came to visit everyday which made my day too! We didn’t get to use the spa unfortunately because of the bad weather.

Spa pool didn't work the whole time we were there. And no compensation was offered. There was also possibly rats in the walls (sounded way too big for mice).Cottage was cute but to cluttered with trinkets - some where very dusty.

A uniquely decorated cottage, very comfortable and quiet. The owner provided a comprehensive folder of instructions for all devices. The hot tub was ready for use on our arrival. The Karangahake Gorge walkway is close by and although some of the tracks were closed, we enjoyed the walk through the tunnel and beside the river. Would happily stay again.

It has a hot pool!

We had a lovely winter getaway for a couple of days, and especially enjoyed the enormous hot tub. The walks nearby are great, but please note that cafe listed as being 2 mins away no longer exists, so you do need to drive to get food or walk the 6km or so one way to the Waikino Tavern. The house is old, but well kept and clean except for a funky smell in the rear room. Overall we had a great time and would recommend to anyone :)

Eclectic cottage with excellent location

The cottage was cute and decorated in an eclectic style. A mix of modern and vintage.The location was amazing being so close to all the nature walks and close to towns. It was a good weekend four our family with exploration, relaxation and family time.

Awesome wee cottage.

Such a great nostalgic cottage- awesome location. Comfortable stay with roaring fire/hot tub - added to the experience. Definitely would recommend this accommodation to others.
