Great place to stay, central location and lots of amenities nearby including many restaurants, a grocery store, liquor store, etc. Hotel staff are super friendly, and room was very quiet. Was here for work and is my go-to for accommodations.

Some positives but overall below expectation

What was positive: • Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. • Hotel is close to shopping and lots of restaurants, a short drive and reasonable (30-minute) walk from downtown. • Nice courtyard pool area. • Reception / lounge area was appealing and comfortable, and front desk staff were friendly. What could be improved: • Our first entry to the room was unwelcoming. The curtains were drawn and an armchair was bizarrely shoved up against the curtains, with the sheer curtains bunched up because of the placement of the chair. My first thought on entering the room was that the person cleaning it had not completed the job. There were several holes in the curtain. • I was the first to use the shower and found two long black or dark brown hairs (none of us have long dark hair) so cleanliness is below expectation. There was a stain on the carpet in the main room (not a big deal but still affected overall appeal of room). • The shower did not drain quickly so it left a pool of water at your feet. • The television remote receiver was scotch-taped to the base of the TV and you had to sit in a specific spot on the bed for it to work. • There is a cafe and restaurant in the lobby. Grab-and-go options at the cafe are pretty limited and I waited there for about 5 minutes at around 10am with no staff appearing to be operating the cafe or coming to serve me, so I left.

For the price, I expected more. Front desk staff were neither friendly nor rude, they seemed to be just existing. Bathroom condition in the room was sub par. Wallpaper seams were split/peeling, the shower water diverter did not work properly & the tub drain was partially clogged. The beds were comfortable. The pool area was well maintained and easily accessible. Our server at Vintners, Marina was the best part of the experience. Friendly, polite and enjoyable to be around which created a great dining experience. Overall an averagely ok hotel stay for a fairly high price.

It's great that I got a credit for the dining room, however, you really should have happy hour like every hotel and restaurant in Kelowna, it would keep guests at the hotel bar. Enjoyed my stay
